My dreams are gone,
They are lost to me.
My future is dim,
So why do I be?
No arms are there,
To hold me tight.
No words are said,
To stay my fright.
I see love grow,
And see love die,
But for me,
I want to fly.
Away from this world
and away from the pain,
but chains bind me here.
I'm trapped in a cage!
The lovely gatekeeper
is nowhere around.
So I sit here and stare
while the world spins round.
