Do you ever wonder why
people are sometimes shy
we grow up instead of down
we assume we're sad when we frown
people say life is short when its the longest thing we do
sins are plenty but good deeds are few
people think crazy people are wrong and people with no problems are right
when we want peace we have to fight
inside out isn't said as outside in
we sometimes hurt our friends and kin
desparation is an instant excuse
while to change for the good, we have to light the fuse
you pull someone up and smile
just to push them down and laugh so vile
but what I want to know
is why you once loved me so
when you left me here in the cold
just to sit here and be so alone and say that I've been told
