Highschool Secrets chapter 5
Okay maybe Alice does change her look a lot but this change was absolutely amazing. She had on a purple and black long-sleeved tight fitted shirt, a blue polka dot bottom half vest, black jeans, rose shoes, arm-warmers and headband, with a lace scarf, and her hair was let down and a dark crimson color done into curls. All I could do was stare when she stepped from the bathroom. I shuffled and shimmied through the crowd to her and she just smiled with her arms crossed casually. "You like?" she asked, "what do you think?" I commented. Then suddenly she quick flashed me a kiss and went dancing back into the crowd but before she was encased by other boys she called to me, "Have some fun dance and hang out!" then disappeared. I heaved a sigh and waved through the crowd dispersing silently in search of the drinks bar again. When I found the bar I noticed Alice on the stage from the corner of my eye and she was waving at someone. When I finally realized she was waving to me the music already started and it was my favorite song. All I could think then was wow, I am so damned lucky to have someone as great as Alice. Then I noticed her coming at me in her dance-like movements. Before I could speak she grabbed my hand and dragged me into the crowd and started dancing. Before I knew it I was dancing too, along with everyone else. Then Alice grabbed my arm and spun me around to face her angelic smile. I wrapped my arm silently around her waist and swayed with her tempo and she put her hand on my shoulder. After a few hours of dancing and socializing the part ended and people started to file out with us at the end. "Did you enjoy the party then?" She asked, I kicked the dirt "maybe" "I knew it! I knew if I threw a party that it would be fun for you!" She smiled promptly. "Your to smart for your own good" I said grinning slyly. "wait a second.... you know I hate that look!" She cried when she realized that was my evil look. I scooped her up in my arms and carried her to the car calmly setting her in the passengers seat. "Why don't we go to your house tonight?" I asked but more of a suggestion then question. "Fine" she answered with her face in the clouds and her arms crossed. As I was driving down the long highway I was thinking of all the things Alice was doing for me, more specifically why she was doing it. When we arrived I went to the trunk and grabbed our stuff then went around the car to go open the door for Alice. When she climbed out of the doorway she carefully clasped my hand as if there was danger. We walked through the door. As we stepped in I noticed a large figure in the chair seeming to be waiting for us. "Who's there" I called out in the darkness. "You do you think?" A husky familiar voice answered. All I could think was 'ah crap'. turns out Mason wasn't gonna give up anytime soon. I shifted my position so I was in front of Alice. But she wasn't shivering or anything, She swayed past me and walked over to Mason. She raised her arm suddenly and slapped him straight on the face with all her force. I just stood there frozen waiting for him to do something. All he did was stand up shove past me out the door and squealed his car tires on the went asphalt. Alice walked back over to me and touched my face at which I relaxed. "You do know he deserved that right?" she asked. "Who wouldn't know? your the only person to be brave enough to even touch Mason." I laughed, "your gonna get mauled by boys and girls at school for weeks." I added still grinning. "Maybe, but if your with me they may steer clear. Everyone knows what happened at the fair now." She said turning red near the end. I put my finger under her chin to pull her face up, "it's alright I'll be with you whenever you need me." I whispered softly in her ear. I could feel her skin pull back as she smiled which I grinned back. "Now let's go to bed." she shrugged at started to climb the stairs with me on her heels.
