When one lives a life that is one of survival, where one's combat skills are all that allow them to live, one tends to see the darkness of the human soul. Slavery, Rape, Murder, Torture... the list is without end. Darren had seen the broken of humanity his entire adult life. For the two centuries that he'd lived he'd tracked and hunted those that broke the laws of the world of Elements, whether they'd been a friend or foe to him in the past. It was ironic, in his mind, that the one who was sent to deal with the darkest parts of society- one of the individuals actually considered a paragon that the young ones should strive emulate. He grinned without warmth. If they knew what really went through his head, they'd know how often he was forced to walk that edge of insanity. That's probably why Order had forced him into this position- being the only pure Chaos type among the first-generation, he was an oddity. Then again, it was more his ability to kill and then sleep easily that made him such a required commodity. He could kill and not lose his head. These musings allowed him to not try to picture the evil happening in the building across from him.
This evening he was in the human continent, chasing after a group of second generation elementals. Being the first natural born elementals, there was a lot that was not known about their mental and biological stability. Apparently their powers had gone to their heads after a measly five decades, killing their ability to reason. Humans had been disappearing off the streets for a few weeks before Darren had arrived- mostly females, but a few males as well. As well as he'd been able to piece together, they had arrived and taken command of some street gang. "This is WarRaven. Suspects are believed to be in the building across from my position." he said, his tone bored as he called in his location. "Understood Darren. The Human Government has worked with us to allow for a full use of your abilites. Civilian casualties are to be kept to a minimum- save the hostages if you can, but they are not the priority. If there is any resistance, or you deem it necessary, they dont need to come back alive. Just take a corpse." "Understood."
