Sin looked out his office window onto the city stretching out before him, thinking. Shivering. There was not much that made Sin take notice. He stood at the height of one of the oldest criminal empires that New HVN had ever played host to. The police would not touch him. His enemies would not seek his death. He feared no attack. Even should the entirety of Michael's military seek his head, he knew he could easily survive. However, he'd been forced to re-evaluate himself in only hours. First had been the information that the Verisani had started an attempt to create a foothold here. While unexpected, he had not feared their arrival. If anything, he had welcomed it at first- they would not attack his holdings, and could be worked with if the situation had truly called for it. However, he had not expected that his information would've proved fruitless, as the Verisani had first attempted hostilities with the Hunters. It was that second part that had forced his re-evaluation. Before he recieved the word of the attack, Kennel's across the city had closed. In only minutes after the attack had been mentioned to him he had recieved a visit from one of the Organization's Wolves. His message had been simple, and short. "The Blood Hunt has Begun." Thus Sin had one fear. The Hunter's Leader. Grin. Grin was more of a ghost than a man- no one had seen his face, but he held an absolute power over his Hunters. Even his Pups- the lowest and weakest of all the Hunters- would rather kill themselves than make him their enemy. His mask had a skull face- Sin had met him in this persona several times. He shrugged off wounds and poison. His movements made no sound. You could stare at him and still lose him to the darkness in a bright room. But that was the requirements to be known as a Wolf. What made Grin different was the force of his presence. To have him look at you make you breathe heavier, to feel the blade inches from your skin. Grin might be human- but Sin doubted it. He had never met a human, or any mortal being whose simple presence had the ability to instill such fear. He heard his door open. "Sir." "Cut off all ties and communication with those damn birds. Anyone who keeps a tie with them after two minutes have passed are to be ejected from any of our premises." "Sir, wont that cause problems with them later?" Sin just laughed helplessly. The fool had no idea what was going on. "I dont pay you to ask questions." he finally said. "Get it done."
Lucien was pale. Like his brothers in Korrin, he'd joined Xeritas at a young age. He'd lived to be fifty years of age, and had more enemies than friends, and seen an equal number die. "Are you telling me to decide between the Hunters and the Verisani." he demanded of the Wolf before him. "No." He let go of his held breath. She was a small figure, but that didnt help- she'd torn through twenty feet of concrete with her hands to reach him. "We're telling you to cut ties with them or die alongside- either doesnt matter to us." She calmly walked out as he slumped to the floor. "The Blood Hunt has Begun, Lucien. I like you, so dont make yourself part of it." For the first time in his fifty years of life, Lucien was cowed. Contacting his subordinate, he suspended all of his operations in the city. "The idiots have gotten Grin to call a Blood Hunt on them- Everyone is to stay off of the streets until this blows over! If some idiot provokes the Hunters on us, I'll give him to Grin myself!"
Keris, or Grin as he was known to this City, stood on the roof of his headquarters. The wind whistled past him. Hundreds of feet below, his Pack- the Dogs, the Hounds, and even the Pups grouped. All in full gear. On the roof beside him, his Wolves. "Venom, Bane." he greeted the wolves that returned from their mission without turning. "Boss." Venom said with a giggle. "Lucien has pulled his guys out. He reminds me of my grandpa." She stretched. Like the others she hid her anger behind a facade of indifference. "Sin too." Bane replied, his helmet covered in a green hood. He nodded. "So, Boss." Astral said from his perch. "What's the plan?" Keris enabled his communication, linking him with his entire Pack. "Find them. Kill the small fry, and capture the section heads." "And the perpetrators?" "Bane, Songstress, Belial- Find them." He ordered the wolves. "They will be a get-well gift." "Sir." "Venom. Take Ghost, Priest, Angel and Cyclops. I want the leaders and their families. If they have a connection, I want them- right down to the pets or corpses." She giggled again. "Mint condition, or can I play with them?" "I want the bosses Mint for now." "The others?" "Your choice." "More toys." "Astral." "Yes?" "Make the streets run red." Keris growled. "Sir." Astral went to the edge of the building. "You heard the boss! Eradicate them!" The Pack howled as the wave of killers poured through the streets.
