Standing in front of his door, Rez knew he had two options. One was to set the girl down, politely unlock the door, pick her back up, and go inside. Boring. The second was to kick down the door with one booted foot. The door would probably burst from its hinges, and fly down the hallway. Neither were options he'd be able to take however. "Belle, Im back early, open the door." The bolt on the door, which he'd forgotten about, rolled back with a solid sounding thud, and the main lock clicked, finally the solid door creaked open. "Thank you, Belle." He said as he walked inside. The door quietly closed behind him. Walking softly into the living room, he set the dragon girl down on the couch and flopped himself into the chair across. Since there was little more he could do until she woke up from his hypnosis, he let the night's activities play across his mind.
He'd left early that evening, he wasnt sure why. The road had been quiet, and there had been little to do on his usual walk since there was no real after hours entertainment in his area. He hated when there was nothing to do, because it gave him time to think- he'd much rather act, be physically doing something without needing his brain to over-process things. And then he'd taken to the rooftops. Why? It wasnt that the act was unusual in and of itself, but he only did that when there was a need to hide himself. Why had he rushed over to that particular alley- one that was on the very edge of his area? He looked at the dragon girl and sighed. "You need to stop picking up strays, Rez." a voice said at his right. "Aw, you brought another one home!" said another voice to his left. Rez groaned. Belle had probably woken these two, just to be safe. "Lily, Eri, why are you up?" he asked. "Isnt it usual for one to be up to welcome home their Darling?" The angel at his right fluttered her eyelashes as Rez groaned again. He really didnt want to deal with this tonight. "I really shouldnt praise you for what you did... but good job. Really." said the demoness to his left. "Now leave him alone- you can be a tramp later Eriial." "Belle..." he sighed. An apologetic hand seemed to be placed on his shoulder. If these two were awake, he might as well go get Amberlyn, he decided. The vampire was the only one in the house that could keep the two in line... and she should already be somewhat awake. He hushed his consciences and headed to the basement. At the foot of the stairs, he noticed the newest 'improvements' the vampire scientist had made.It was now the size of a parking garage- and the roof of the basement seemed to reach higher than the entire house. He walked over to the door with a golden bat symbol and knocked. "Am, AM! Yo, Fangy." he called as he knocked, trying to get her attention. A teenaged blonde girl opened the door groggily. "Do you know what time it is Skeletor? We have class in the morning... and you should be out on patrol right now, shouldnt you?" His appearance so 'early' in the evening was beginning to wake her up- it would be only a matter of time, however, before the two upstairs would wake the whole house. "Eri and Lily are upstairs... and I need you to check someo- thing out." he corrected himself quickly. Am had been the first one he'd brought in, and when he brought another she usually wouldnt let him finish- usually being extremely vocal in how much his bleeding heart was going to get them all killed one day. She was probably right. Still, it didnt seem like he was going to get away clean this time. She glared at him suspiciously. "What did you do now?!" Rez helplessly cast his eyes from side to side. "Nothing, why would you think I'd done something?" he responded. "Because I smell human blood on you. Considering your line of work, its a tad bit unusual that you'd be coated in it no?" Rez looked down at his clothing and cursed. His best shirt was already getting crusted from the b*****d's fluids. "Well, it couldn't've been too bad I guess, but wasnt bringing the human back here a bad plan?" Her back was turned, so she didnt see him wince at the words, however he couldn't lie outright to her- he owed her too much, and worse yet, she'd easily catch him. So he kept a guilty silence. Which made her more suspicious. "Rez, so help me... if Im doing this for another goddamn werewolf...." she said, threatening him with a pair of surgical scissors. "Its not a werewolf, or lycanthrope of any kind. Probably." "Probably." her eyes widened. "And the human?" He winced again, this time with her watching. "Dead." Amberlyn's jaw worked soundlessly for a few minutes. "Rez..." He looked away. "Rez, look at me." She tried to work his head to face her, but he looked away in the other direction. "REZ!" he looked at her guiltily. "Did you kill the human?" "....little bit..." he muttered, looking down. Amberlyn got very quiet, and set down her scissors. Very. Purposefully. She went over to Rez and ripped off his sleeve, and after seeing the symbol she punched him hard enough in the gut that he slammed down the hall and into the wall next to the stairs. "Damn it!" she hissed through clenched teeth. "I knew you were going to do this someday, you idiot!" She punched the wall, and cracked the stone. "Well, lets go see if it was worth all of us potentially getting killed. And burn those clothes, we dont need any evidence of a human's death floating around here."
