I did skip one major thing when I was explaining Kyaithe becoming an adhmira... to get him away from the dwarves, I had to promise him that I would help the dwarves from their situation as soon as our own war ended.
You see, these particular dwarves dwell in a tunnel-complex inside of a mountain range. The surface of the mountains is inhabited by a couple things, but the ones that ruled the mountain were the giants. They were never an issue for the dwarves, as they never suspected that there were little people living underneath them. So the dwarves were at peace until...
Until the dwarves had an accident with their explosives.
They blew a hole in the side of a mountain, alerting the giants to their presence. The giants immediately attacked. The dwarves were holding their own just fine, but they couldn't retaliate safely. There would be too many casualties if they left the safety of their tunnels. I think Kyaithe convinced them to stay where they are.
I went to the dwarves, and after an extremely long, meaningless talk, in which they asked me many questions to make sure they could trust me, I decided on a plan.
Everyone who knew the situation knew that the giants would never stop until either they were dead or the dwarves were, and I had no intention of killing them off. However, the giants had also been harassing a pack of wolves that I have a close friend in. So I decided to relocate the giants... and they're so stupid, it would be easy to make them think they never left. But even they're smart enough to need a similar environment...
