(Interlude...)

Real life. No one's satisfied with my weak storytelling eh? I don't blame you. Well I suppose you consider life normal when the good outweighs the bad, or they are balanced. I'll let you be the judge:

Good:
I live in a nice house
I have a decent computer and fast internet access
Both my parents are alive and well...and I live with them
I am in good health...have even lost weight
I have a girlfriend.

Bad:
I have no money, and my father refuses to help me in that area
I have no job, trying to find places to send my resume to
I am no longer in college due to financial and personal reasons
My mother is in pain from constantly arguing with dad, usually about money.
She also is beginning to feel her time is short on this earth.
My dad thinks I'm a failure because of my current situation, and isn't against telling me so.
My girlfriend lives in NY and I live in CA...the distance partially causes many problems.
My girlfriend does not think she is a good person, which isn't true, but nevertheless it changes her attitude to a way that furthers my depression, because I can't change her heart and as a soulmate I feel everything she feels along with my own pain...
The toll of the previous said problems has led me to feel inadequate, and the stagnation of my life attempts to pull me down into deep depression.

Some might think this is incredibly unbalanced. Well an important factor is that I have God in my life, and He is always on my side. Acknowledging this makes it feel much less unbalanced, and through time and prayer I do believe I can change my heart...and perhaps become the man that makes everyone else happy. Or in lieu of that, can find some shred of happiness in himself.
