I run my hand through my hair, brushing the black locks from my face. Nothing was working out. I knew that this world was not ready for me but I stilled hoped that maybe it would accept me. These people, they're all scared by change. Habbit has been breed into them. Who am I to try and change that now? I can sit here, balanced on the ledge of this temple, balanced on the faultering society of 'man'. I watch stoically as the days flit by, the weeks rolles on. They pass so quickly to me, I'd imagine I could stay here so long I'd be considered an ornamanten after long enough. More finites pass by, their heads cocking slightly as the gaze up at me. I stare back, observing them closely. How strange they behave. Afraid of some one sitting on this high ledge, afraid of the unknown, the strangeness. I lean back, reclining against the building side. If I remain here long enough, maybe I'll be able to watch these place languish and collaspe. Maybe then I'll sit upon the ruble and watch the world continue by. Maybe I'll travel along, take in the sights. Maybe I'll just try to live in this world like every one else. That last idea sounds completely unreasonable, but it also seemed most acceptable. I don't want to leave this ledge, but I don't want to stay here. I stand and breath in the chilling dawn air of my tenth sunrise. I can hardly believe I've been here so long. Before I can even move I hear a scream ring out. I look down to see people gathering around my position. "He's going to jump!" The woman shouts followed by all sorts of consoling remarks. They murmured amongst themselves, panicing. "Of course I'm jumping, how else do you propose I'm going to get down!" I shout to them, befundled by their surprise. "Don't jump! You have a long life a head of you! Please, just calm down!" They shout at me with almost a defening roar. I was taken aback by them, did they know I was infinate? How? How did they find out? Suddenly I notice the man from before wander by, his eyes intialy only sweeping over then flickering back. He paused his violet eyes shriking to the point that they were completely trimmed by white. He runs forward, calling for me not to do this, not to jump. However I can't help but curious about what other way he had in mind to get down from here. I jumpped up, so doesn't law dictact I jump down? "Then how do you suggest I get down?" I ask, tilting my head at him. "Just, calm down, we'll fetch a ladder." He said cooly, making funny gestures with his hands. "Why? I can easily jump back down." I crouched down and rested my head in my hands. "....What?" He asked breathlessly. I stand again and jump off, flipping easily as I drop. I land on my feet, one knee instictively touching the ground as I cushion my fall. He runs to my side, his hands flinging around my shoulders. I feel a wetness gathering on my robe. I turn to see his eyes so full of water that it was running over. "Your eyes, are they hemorrhaging?" I ask, trying to closely examine his possible wound. "No, I'm just so relieved your okay." His voice quivering. Suddenly I recognised these symptons. "You are crying." I whisper aloud, taking mental notes as observed him. He smiles bitterly and rubs his eyes dry. "Not very manly of me, huh?" He chuckles deadly. "I wouldn't know." I say simply and shrug at him. "Are you okay? Wow, not a scratch on him! How did you do that!?" Their voices come in so loudly, I feel my ear drums vibrating to such an extreme I thought for sure they would burst. But the noise doesn't die down, it only increases. Suddenly I feel hands start to grab at me, tugging this way and that. "Don't..." I try to say words but they get lost in the tumult of words raging around me. I try to move through them but htey press in, swelling over me. I try to tell them I am uninjured but they do not yield to my words. I'm suffocating here, drowning in noise. I feel my stomach churn and bile clawing at the back of my throat. Suddenly a different hand touches me. I look into those violet eyes. His mouth moves but I can't hear him, at this point nothing is registering. He grabs my hand and we're off running, the crowd falling away behind us. I collaspe to my knees, my throat seeming to finally open. I felt my lungs heave, grateful for oxygen. "Are you alright, you didn't look like you were doing so well back there." He asked, taking my face in his delicate hand. I nod, still panting in air. He gives me a worried look and pulls me to my feet. He string my arm over his shoulders and presses my close to him. He practically drags me away. "Where have you been, I was so worried. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to freak out like that." He started rambling, but my head seemed to buzz and the world was spinning. I tripped and stumbled against him, almost knocking him over. "You're not alrigth! What's wrong!?" He shouted, even though I could hear him just fine. "I'm fine." I say and sudden wave of dizziness washes over me. I lurch forward, dropping to the ground. I grunt as the solid material seems to break my body. I feel... light... like when I was out there... in space... in the void. I try to stand but body refuses to responde, it refuses to even move the slightest bit. "What's wrong with me?" I ask, maybe he knows, maybe he can tell me. He drops tot he ground next to me, his mouth moving rapidly as he undoubtably screams at me. But why isn't he speaking? I feel the darkness creep up over me, their incesent pull trying to take me back. I give in, I'm not meant for this world anyways.
