One of the greatest men to ever walk this earth died today, Thursday June 21, 2007 at 12:20 PM. I was one of the many relatives around him at the time,and had the honor of holding his hand as he took his last breath and moved on with God and his Angels into Heaven.
His name was Gary Lee Hanson, and he was a remarkable man. His hoby was collecting antique lamps (most the Alladin brand). He was a brother, a father & father-figure, a grandfather, and even a great grandfather. He loved each one of his family members, and it was difficult to let him go.
He was my grandpa, and always will be. Although I am extremely upset that he left this world now, I'm even happier that he left it peacefully and with Jesus by his side. I know I can trust God to take care of him until the rest of us meet up with him. After all, God did the same with my Aunt Lori. She and Papa are together again, and I know they'll be watching us with God, waiting for us to catch up.
What I want to ask you all is to please, please say a prayer for my grandpa. Just pray to God to watch over him and be with him in His kingdom. Thank God for the life Grandpa Gary was able to live, and thank him for every second He blessed us my my grandpa's pressence. It should only take a few moments of your time, and honestly, it would mean the world to me if you did. I'll never forget it, and I know my grandfather would really appreciate it.
