(Crescent Blade Training...)
Almost immediately that same day, I begain my training with the scimitar. It's beautifully curved edge made it a deadly slasher, while it maintained a light weight. The weapons masters of the village taught me mostly how to hold the weapon and keep it from flying off my hands. I was quickly trained in a few basic slashes, then was sent off on an adventure. The Samnaari believe that danger and survival are the best teachers. I suppose I can't argue that philosophy too much. Accompanied by 2 Elite Guard, I ventured farther into the forests I used to roam as a child, breaking past barriers of previous travel. I had not known the area to be so dangerous. The farther in we went, the more I encountered demons. I had always read about the Dakari Panther Demon tribe with great interest. They inhabit the forest lands in great number, and feed off the wildlife...OUR wildlife. The feud between us and them is not just a matter of Hunter skill and pride, but of survival. We both need the same food. I couldn't hate them though...aren't they the same as us? Such childish thoughts were put away fast though, as often I found myself toe to toe with young Dakari warriors, who I assumed were probably out training just like me. Whatever my skill and potential, I eventually got caught off guard, foolishly taking on a Dakari without any help from the Elite guard. They warned me to let them handle the bulk of the battles, but I was too headstrong and confident in my ability to stay behind. A stalked a prowling Dakari from a high point in the trees. It seemed to be sniffing out it's brethren, who were locked in combat with my elite guard. In panther form it was sleek and agile, I couldn't help but marvel it's natural hunter design and skill...
