Lived & Died Where Worlds Collide
Trapped
Ariael sat still as the High Inquisitor stalked around the room. Outside the double doors many High Order Scarlet Crusaders knelt under the watchful eye of the Commander, praying to the twisted God of their cause.

The woman paced, and Ariael's hope was nipped away bit by bit with every step. Her armor had been taken forcefully, taken to the armory after her father's services. Her mother had denounced her before the Commander. She had been taken captive and given a simple initiate's robe to wear. The thin linen made her feel almost naked, and uncomfortable under the gaze of either of the monastery's leaders.

They all looked upon her with disgust she couldn't fathom. They saw her as dirty, a threat to the cause... it made her ill. She pulled her knees up closer to her chest and felt the heat in her cheeks when the Commander opened the door. His gaze lingered a bit too long to be friendly. In a gruff voice he spoke to Lady Whitemane, gesturing vaguely. She couldn't quite hear the words until he turned to her.

Sick glee lit the man's eyes. He spoke with the same crazed and feverent tones she remembered her parents using. "You betrayed your people child. Soon you will face the axe of our Champion." The woman smiled at her over the man's shoulder, cutting in, "Your redemption draws near. In death you will serve to glorify the Crusade."

Ariael was glad her hair clips had been taken. she was glad for the veil of auburn hair to hide her tears.

She wondered in the back on her mind if anyone would even miss her.
