CHAPTER FOUR
Background music: Voices and chachings of glass, a dream-like, romantic music flowing
The evening she had been so exited about all month had finally arrived. She could not beleive it. Angelica Helegna Gina Nulta Admired her reflection in her enormous antique mirror which was framed by dark, gold plated wood. She looked simply stunning with her black and pink gown and newly permed hair. Breathe, she thought. She was getting her hopes too high for the ball. Trying to keep her calm, she thought back to the events that had led her to that night.
Angelica, who her friends called Angie, was, indeed, very rich. Rich and famous. Her father, Movieto Nulta, was a famous Hollywood movie producer. Her mother, on the other hand, was the curently hottest clothes designer in the whole industry. Both of them had met at an Academy award after party and married two years later. ten months after that, Angelica was born.
The years passed, and soon Angie had become a fine young lady. She had debuted her career as a model at seventeen, walking the runaway for her mom's top shows. Soon afterwards, she signed a contract with a very popular makeup company. But as time went by, she realised that she was growing tired of modeling. With a little help from her father, she started her acting career. She had secondary roles in big productions such as "More it Changes, More it Stays the Same" and "The Beauty Shop's Secret". That morning, she had just nailed the main female role in a superproduction of "The Ledgend of the Stone Bridge", and could not wait to start filming.
One month ago, her father had gone to a very important meeting with friends of his, and had come back very late. The day after, he announced to Angelica he had a surprise for her. One of his friends, a very rich hotel owner, would be throwing a ball soon. She was invited, and her father had found her a blind date! She was so exited. Her mother had designed a gown just for the occasion. Her and Angie had even traveled to Paris to buy appropriate shoes and jewelry. And Angeline had not slept for many nights just at the thougt of the ball.
It was not the ball in particular that made Angie so exited. It was the date part. She was about 99% sure that her date would be Bernard Reelhotte, a really hot and famous actor that was currently shooting in one of her father's films. She could not help but to think of him every night. And now, the moment had come. She looked one last time in the mirror, took her pink purse embrodied with crystal and diamonds, and headed for the white limousine waiting for her outside the mansion.

Angelica sat at a round table nervously. She had come early, and people were just starting to get on the dance floor. The City Grand Hotel was beautifully decorated, but Angelica was not paying attention to that. She was nervously playing with her necklace while she observed all the guests who entered the room. But none of the men seemed to have come alone. Angie looked at her diamond wach. Her date would probably not arrive for an hour or so... She sighed. Maybe she should have waited a little longer to come... She raised a hand for a waitor. Without taking her eyes off the menu, she orderd some fancy tropical drink. "Will that be all?" the waiter asked. Angie lifted her eyes. The waiter was not a hottie, with his dark hair and glasses. But for a moment, Angie's brain was frozen. "Uh... ya...yeah... I g...guess..." she blurted out. Was she falling in love? Love at first sight? She thought as the waiter walked away. No. She couldn't be falling in love when there was a blind date comming for her. But Angie spent the first part of the evening slowly drinking her punch and observing the cute waiter. She was so absorbed by her thoughts she didn't even notice that her date was late. And so it's a dreamy Angie whoalomost jumped on her chair when someone talked to her. "Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to surpise you..." The man said, atempting a smile. "May I introduce my self, mylady. I am Jay Bond, and I beleive we have a date." Angie looked up at him, surprised. How come her date was not the famous actor? Jay... what was his name again? could not be HER date... she had never heard of him before! She atempted a smile, which didn't work out at all, and introduced herself. "I'm Angelica Nulta, pleased to meet you." "Well, Angeica!" Bond said. "Would you want to go get some drinks, mademoiselle?" He noded towards the bar. Angie frowned. What an awkward to start a date. "Sure..." She said. And they both walked towards the bar,not knowing someone, or more than someone was waching them.
