So White and the Seven Kisses
The bus moved down the city street at an extremely so speed. Rain pour down heavily causing the many drives on the street slam their brakes every now and again. The scenery inches its way pass the passenger's windows of the bus prolonging their torment. Sleeping heads leaned agents the cold glass of the windows and those whom were still awake chit-chatted about pointless and idle topics like the weather or whose shoes looked cuter. Jayden Mclonen half listened to the idle conversations that buzzed around his head. His attention was drown in by the cars that inched by. His sapphire eyes would target a car and watch it until it passed the panel that separated his window from the person in front of him. Once that car extended pass that line he would fix his eyes on another car and do the same. This little ritual of his was not to gaze at the cars rather then the drives. Jayden would make up stories in his head about where the driver of the car was going, their life out size the car and even who they were. This little task of his made the bus ride go by faster. At least in his mind it did. “Next stop Casper High School.” announced the bus drive over his radio system. The sudden announcement snapped him out of his little trance and back into the confines of the bus. School he thought to himself, what a drag. The weather itself seems awfully cheer compared to his loathing of Casper High. He began to sulk and was about to slip back to his routine ritual when the bus came to an abrupt halt. Jayden pause for a moment staring out the window. This was his stop however he didn't want to leave his seat nor did he want to deal with the torment that he knew he was going to have to face. “Last call for Casper.” With a regretful sigh he grabbed his belongings and headed to the front of the bus. “Try to have a good day okay son.” The drive said reaching out his hand taking Jayden's into his. The bus driver was indeed Jayden father so of course since he saw his son everyday after school he was fully aware of the constant bullying that his Jayden had to face on a daily basics. His fathers eyes gazes into his sons. Just like his dad Jayden shared the same eye color and hair color. In fact they almost looked identical – however Jayden's hair was much longer then his dad's. If fell to his shoulders and always covers one of his eyes. Their skin tones was another way the differed. His father like most Italians had an olive completion. Jayden on the other had had skin as white as snow. “I'll try.”Jayden sighed flashing a fake smile to reassure his father that the day would go well. “Okay.” “Okay.” his father nodded and opened the bus door. He shut it right after his son was fully out then drove away. “Another day in hell.” Jayden stuffed his hands in his pockets, turned his back from the rode and walked towards the school.
“Lilly you look amazingly beautiful today.” cooed Isac as his girlfriend spun around in a knee high skirt. “I'm the luckiest guy in all of Casper High!” “Oh Isac your making me blush!” Molly Madiason giggle in response reaching her hand across to move a blond strands of hair that fell in her boy friends olive green eyes. Isac did the same to he fire red hair. “Well it's true!” Isac responded running his hand down her blushing cheek. “Would I say it if it wasn't so?” he leaned in kissing her lips softy. Just then the bell rang. “I must go.” Lilly murmured pulling away from he kiss. “See you after school?” “You know it.” Isac whispered watching her as she headed off to her class. He did the same a few moments later.
Jayden made his way down the hallways trying his hardest to ignore the hateful glares and comments sneered at him as he pass his peers. As he walked he kept his eyes focused on the ground. He got the common names shouted at him. Like 'queer' 'f**' and 'fudge-packer' but along with those boys and girls had their share in snarling the one name which truly made his torment unique. Snow White. For some people (manly girls) being called Snow White would be a compliment more then an insult. However for Jayden this name was worst then all the others. The reason being was simple – it had followed him since the eight grade. You think now that he was a junior in high school it wouldn't bother him so much. But this name wasn't mocking the fact that he was gay or the fact that his father was poor and worked as a city bus driver. No this comment was attacking the very way he looked. Unlike other boys at this school his lips were this odd red tint. They looked as if someone took the juice of a raspberry and smeared it upon them. Plus his eye, hair and skin tone it was hard not to acknowledge the similarities. “Hey f**!” someone growled as they stood in Jayden's path causing him to stop rapidly. Jayden glanced up to see Trever (one of the school's football jocks) standing in his path. Trever had an evil glare on his face like he always did. “Where you going?” “To class.”the other boy answered. “Now if you don't mind?” Jayden moved over to walk pass Trever. “What if I do mind?” Trever hissed blocking Jayden's new path of travel. “Well thats to bad.” Replied Jayden coldly as he bypassed the others blockade and continue walking. But Trever wasn't done yet. A hand reached out over the front of Jayden, grabbed one of the straps of his book bag and stun him around. The force of the pull caused the strap to rip as well as causing a hole to form. A hole big enough so all the contents off he pack fell out strewn on the floor. “Looks like you ripped you bag there buddy!” Laughed Trever whom admired his handy work. “Here let me help.” He then lowered himself down as if he was truly going to help gather the other belongings. “NOT!” the bully shot back up and kicked at a history book sending it down the hallway. “Don't worry I'll let Mr.Tran know you will be late!”
History wasn't his thing. Isac didn't understand way exactly the class was for after all what was the importance of studying past events when all the people they learned about were dead or to old to be a useful member of society. So what was the point? Mr.Tran the teacher of the class was rambling on about World War two or some other stupid war when the door opened. “Late again.” Mr.Tran stopped his teaching to turn and look as Jayden walked into the class room. “You really need to learn how to get here on time. Understood.” Jayden nodded in response “Good now please take a set.” Without a word Jayden walked along the many desk to find on empty one. “Hurry up Snow White so we can get back to learning!” Bellowed Trever. The whole class started laughing. All except for Mr.Tran Jayden and Isac. Trever – whom was sitting next to Isac – laughed the hardest. However when he noticed that Isac the laughing from him stopped. “Hey, whats up with you man?” “I didn't think it was funny....” Isac murmured a response. “Didn't think it was funny?” The other questioned. “Well La De freakin' Da. I'll remember not to make fun of the faerie in front of you. 'kay!”
After the laughing had subsided Mr.Tran continued with the lesson. No outburst was made the rest of the class period and when the bell rung the class was empty in less then five minutes. Jayden (like aways) was the last to leave. For him it was the only way he could limit the number of insults and again he found himself staring at the ground when he walked to his next class. As he walked he counted the number of black tiles placed on the floor. He had just got to sixty-seven when a voice broke his chain “Hey!”Called the voice which belong to Isac. “Wait-up!” Jayden stopped in his tracks and turned around to face the other boy. “Look I am not in the mood.” Stated Jayden angry “What? Oh no I just wanted to apologizes for what Trever did in class today.” Isac said with a smile. “But you didn't do anything! Trever did.” Responded the other. “So it is pretty much pointless.” “Yeah I know.” Isac shrugged slightly. “But it's the least I can do.” “Well, I really don't find it necessary.” Remarked Jayden “But thanks anyways.” Jayden turned back around and started to walk away. “Hey wait a moment!” Isac called out catching up with Jayden. “Why do they call you Snow White?” “Because they are stupid.” Jayden answered dryly. “They have nothing better to do. Why you ask?” “Just wondering.” Isac smiled “Well I have to go the other way. See you tomorrow okay?” He didn't wait for a response and left heading down the opposite end of the hallway. “Okay..”Jayden said with a sigh.
“Hey it's Isac! Just the man I wanted to see!” Shouted Trever matching Isac's walking pace. He then throw and arm around Isac shoulders. “Hey buddy!” “I'm not your buddy..” Isac barked back grabbing the other boys wrist moving his arm off his shoulders. “Wow some one is still a little mad..” cooed Trever. “Tell your buddy whats wrong.” “You.” Isac answered dryly. “Oh give me a break! You can't be mad at me still for calling the faerie names!” “Hes not a faerie! And I just don't get way you find it funny to call him names. I mean come on you do it every day!” “If I didn't know any better I could swear that you have feeling for out own little Snow White” “Of course I don't...” Isac hesitated. “I have Molly.” “Um yeah sure.” Trever half smirked and walked off leaving Isac with a sick feeling of dread in his stomach.
The rest of Isac classes went well and school was now over. He was on his way to meet Molly by the drinking fountain. On the way he could help but to think about what Trever had asked him earlier. Did he have feeling for Jayden? The answer was more complicated then he had hoped. In his mind Jayden was Snow White in every little way. His hair was just as black as hers, his skin just as fair and every time he looked into Jayden's jewel blue eyes he almost felt as if he was drowning in them. But of course he didn't love him. Isac loved Molly. When he finally got to the drinking fountain Molly was already there standing with an odd look on her face. Whats wrong?” Isac question as he stepped closer to give her a hug. Molly moved away. “Okay... you going to tell me what I did?” “I talked to Trever last period.” She started off “He told me some wonderful things about you.” “Like what?” He asked nervously. “Like that fact you have feeling for Jayden.” She explained crossing her arms. “So is it true.” “Oh course no!”Isac stated to defend himself. “I love you and only you.” “Would you tell me if you did?” She just attacked with another question. “No.” replied Isac honesty. Molly shook her head as she rolled her eyes. “Thats what I thought! Just my luck I get a gay one!” She turned around angrily and started walking away. “Molly wait. Let me explain!” he called out to her. “There is nothing to explain Isac!” She screamed in response. “I know you like him! The fact that you could tell me if you did shows me that! So what the point in staying? Isac I did love you but I am not going to wait until you change your mind.” She let out a sigh and smiled weakly “And I don't think he will either.” She turned around again and walked away “Molly....”
The once crowed hallway was now empty and not a thing could be heard but the sobs as Jayden cried. Often he would just wait until he got home to let out his emotions. Be it anger, joy or sadness. But to his dad was running late and here was just fine. He had something to cry about today. So there he was sitting with his knees to his chest agents the lockers – tears falling down his face. “hey. Jayden you okay?” Isac asked letting his presence be known. “Why are you crying?” “Oh like you don't know!” Jayden snapped back standing for where he had been sitting. “isn't that why you wanted to find me in the first place?” “What? Hold on a minute! What are you taking about?” Isac squawked bewildered. “Your little game! Do you honestly think I am that stupid?! I know what your plan is! Have your girlfriend come to me telling me that you love me!” Rage filled the boys eyes. “How dare you!” “Look I don't know what Molly told you but I do have feeling for you. I don't know if it is lo.” “Shut up! Just shut up!” Jayden cut Isac off.”I don't want to hear it!” “Why can't you accept that someone like you? Is it really that hard?”Interrogated Isac “I do have feeling for you and there is nothing that can stop it.” Isac stepped closer to the other. “STOP LYING TO ME!” Jayden yelled at the top of his lungs backing up from the other boy. “You and the rest of your friends are all the same! I thought you where different!” At this point his vision was being blinded by tears of rage. He had promised himself he would allow Isac to have the pleasure of seeing him cry but when this little stunt happen it all came undone. The sneers and name calling in the hallway, in the classroom and on the bus. Tears streamed down his face. “You are just another sadistic jerk!!” Isac stood still for a moment gathering his thought. He thought Jayden would be happy to learn that someone at this school had feelings for him. But he was wrong. Isac found himself angry as well. Here he was risking everything for this guy. The silence was broken by the sound of Isac hand across the other boys face. “HOW DARE YOU!” He bellowed back pinning Jayden's arms to the lockers. “I tell you that I may love you and you call me a lier?” Jayden just stared a look of fear in his blue eyes. “I am risking everything to tell you this and you dismiss me a s a fraud? How dare you!” “If you love me so much prove it!” Jayden sneered. “Okay I will.” Isac pink lips pressed agents the apple red lips of Jayden. He pulled away. “Is this proof enough.” Jayden nodded wordless. Seven more kisses followed.
