Song of Myself

Death watches over me as I walk this life of mine
The light tries to guide me as it begins to shine

Darkness creeps behind me as the light fades away
This pain I feel seems to get worse day after day

This pain eats away at me as I try to stay alive
If I had one wish my wish would be to survive

I see this shade of black engulf me as I sit here
People look at me and they don’t seem to care

They cant even see the pain behind these eyes
If I were to die I doubt that they would realize

This way I feel should never be felt by anyone
You don’t want to feel this way, its not even fun

I wish I wouldn’t have to feel this way anymore
If only I could just walk up and shut the door

So, please don’t make me feel this way again
I wouldn’t like to feel this horrible pain again

Hatred burns me as I try to hide this pain inside
I try to keep it within me so the pain can subside
