Another Zhang Yimou movie that just came out and practically it's his 2nd action film. That man has style! Looooooove it! Although "Hero" was his first you gotta think, "How'd he make an awesome action film in his first try?".
Welps, he has a long time friend who made dozens of action films so basically he had help with it. But what really astonished me was the color usage. First you got Red= I say it equals lying, untruthful or w/e, hatred, jealousy, love..
Then you have Blue=Sadness
Then you have White=Truth..
But it took me about two views of the movie to understand it all. This is a movie that you have to sit and watch, you miss anything and someone will have to explain it to you.
But in the movie, it's mainly flashbacks that come to mind. The first time you see all the action sequences is with Sky. Your first (or you could say 2nd) assasin seen in the film. He didn't/doesnt die, if thats what you think. But that was basically a staged fight.
Now, the second fight seen you see when Nameless(jet) and Mistress Snow(Maggie) are fighting is when they're protecting the small school of caligraphy. The third time with the two women in red flying in a storm of leaves is basically a lie. Nameless is trying to lie to the king in order to get close enough to pack a serious and FATAL blow. (assasins kill people right? They obviously have a reason to do so...)
Those two women you see there are Mistress Snow and Moon(Ziyi) going at it because Mistress Snow has killed her one true love Broken Sword(forgothisname). Well, the red is when Nameless is trying to lie. A fake tale. King finds out. He's not stupid, no duh.
King tells his version, he has it... partially right. That part is all in blue. He thinks Mistress Snow died but she didn't.
And then White is when Nameless breaks down and finally confesses how everything was supposed to go.
After that, Nameless gets close enough to kill the King. Does he or does he not got through with it? Your going to have to watch and see. (hedoesntgothrough)
Anyways, enough with the movie review, I really want to see House of Flying Daggers but I can't see rated R movies. Well... it depends if I get to see them or not. But I'm gonna have to wait ti'll it goes out on video/dvd then buy it. It looks awesome. Literally awesome! xp
I was going to have a RP based on HERO and CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON but I see that I'm going to chang it to HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS. But it's like the movie.
Plenty of action and such, a hint of romance and drama or so. I want it to be good and the RP players to take it to wherever they so desire. Just not in eternal destruction. I'd kill if that happens. Okay maybe not but... yeah!??! sweatdrop

Synopsis:In a Kingdom lies a Naiive Princess. Her parents the ultimate rulers of a section of China keep the areas within their boundaries safe until the murder. Forced to take the throne, this rebellious adolesant must be escorted back to her kingdom with safety. Running away constantly, she sides with a source of evil, expecting that she'd get power and such. The plan backfires and thus havoc upon the country is started due to her wrong choices.
This girl has been power-hungry ever since that fateful day, taking over empires and underground societys. The day when she tries to ruin a society known as House Of Fallen Leaves marks the greatest time period of this group's history.
The House Of Fallen Leaves is a group of people who smuggle prisoners into safety but also steal from the rich to give to the poor. Their main enemy is the royal society, tax collectors and much more. They're trusted by many villages and such. Their whereabouts are unknown but when the time comes to hand over their goods and such, they won't get off so easily without a gruesome but long fight.
Time Period: Ancient China 859AD (same time period in House Of Flying Daggers)
Would it be good? I think I'll go through with this one.
