A smile on you face,
Lights my soul aflame,
For my kindness towards you and all,
Is just a mere taste.

If you were to call,
Any time or any day,
I would turn and come running,
To catch you as you fall.

I would fight away your fears,
rewrite all your wrongs,
Open your eyes and see,
you all I hold dear.

What is it that I can say,
To help you when your down,
I would pull you up and hold you high,
And hug you if I may.

Time flies for one and all,
But friendships will stand the time,
When fear and hurt may go your way,
Come to me and I'll be your wall.

When we open our heart,
we allow people to come in,
sharing love and tender care,
we smile and laugh from the start,

But pain come into play,
when we begin to be open,
vunrability and far from safety,
Afraid to act and have a say,

Lean on other when we fall,
in our deep times of need,
to reach out and hold on,
To the hand we yearn and call,

Know my hand is within reach,
to hold on to for a moment,
to embrace tight and whole,
inside my arms like a serene beach.
