Over the weekend, my family and I went to Leavenworth. If you don't know, it's a little German-esque town tha really pulls in the tourists. It's located in the mountains, and it is a great place for hikers, too. We went there with my mum's side of the family; That is, her sister's family, and her parents. The adults just went for the wineries (guh), and dragged the kids along so they wouldn't be home alone. I don't mind it when my parents go to wineries, but it's really boring when they stick us in a hot house with nothing to do. D;
But eventually we went down to the little shops they have, and I bought this really cute outfit. <3 I can't wait untill it's clean and stops smelling funny, so that I can wear it. My brother bought this 3-ft tall king's hat, and I bought a MadHatter Tophat, with rabbit ears sticking out. xD Unfortunately, my hat was crushed, and so were all of the other hats in the store. They just said that's how it's suposed to be, but I've seen this same hat in another store downtown. </3 I'm dissatisfied.
We went to a play they were showing, The Sound of Music. I've never seen the movie or been to that play before, so it was all knew to me. Except the songs, because I was forced into choir in first grade and they made me sing a lot of those songs. D; What was really shocking, though, was that my fifth grade math teacher had a small part in the play. I've always known he acted--I went and saw him in a play near here. xD But why would he go so far away just to have a small role as an extra? Ah well, that's retirement for you. The play was done really well. I particularly liked how the stage was outside, so everytime they were supposed to be outside they just walked off-stage. x3~ Or, if they needed to be in the hills, they went behind the audience.
Hee~~
