Let's Give it Up for Canada Day
Yes, today is Canada day. Celebrate all things Canadian, even if you don't live there. I'll provide the cake and you go pick up some caffeinated beverage. That's all we'll need.
I am so thrilled today because I got to read the first chapter of New Moon, Stephanie Meyer's second book in the Twilight series. I was abso-freaking-lutely amazing, like I expected. I didn't realize how much I missed all of the chaacters--especially Edward, the very appealing vampire. I can't wait to get my grubby little hands on the book...the first chapter left off on quite a suspenseful note. I just have to wait for the very last week of August for it (twitch).
I hope I have enough money or can bribe my mother to pre-order it. Augh, I hate being penniless...at least I'll get something from the job I just hooked (while, most likely, I won't be making much, and once I get the money it will probably fly out of my hands to pay someone back for concert tickets...). At least the job is fun...I'm working at a place called Club 87. Rock bands play there and stuff...I get to see them for free, which is awesome.
There is the option of telling my friend she can finally spend money on me. I'm most positive I won't do that, though. I refuse to let her give me money...she earned it through her horrifying hours of babysitting, it's her money. I can't take it. I would feel like a rat. Besides, she'll probably end up buying the book for herself. Wouldn't blame her...that's what my plan is.
Until I get my hands on it, I'll just bide my time playing videogames and listening to Alien Ant Farm's latest CD, Up in the Attic. Their sound definently has a different tone to it, yet you can still tell it's them. It has a very angry/depressive sound, but it's really catchy. I love the songs Supreme Lifestyle, Sleepwalker, and She's Only Evil. All really great. I've been drawing and cleaning to them a lot lately.
At any rate, today should be a fun day. I have a pal coming over. We're going to play some freaking crazy Legend of Zelda: Four Swords with my brother and his buddy. It is a TON of fun. The best multi-player game I have ever played so far. It's great how you have to cooperate, yet compete. It makes things veeerry interesting.
