Name: Aerthise Andus
Gender: Female
Personality: Due to her upbringing, Aerthise is a strong, rational, and intelligent woman. She is calm and ladylike most of the time, and will very rarely raise her voice to shout at someone unless she has a reason to; a dangerous undertone and a piercing glare are formidable substitutes. Though Aerthise is usually calm and collected, she does have her limits. She does not tolerate negative treatment towards her or anyone else, and her temper may show if such an offense repeats nonstop in her presence... or if someone repeatedly irritates her. However, considering her present situation, she may have to keep her rarely seen temper in check should the offender turn out to be one of the Red Sons. Naturally, considering the Red Sons had oppressed the Solarians many years before, fear of them is natural for Aerthise, especially considering that any offense towards the Commander could risk the Solarians becoming caught in war by them.
Role: Princess of the Solarians
Skills/Abilities: For recreational purposes, Aerthise is very proficient in her archery, though her swordsmanship skills are pretty moderate in comparison. She is a rapid learner with things that gain her interest, especially when it comes to history, and is very agile in terms of her flexibility. She seems to be gifted in music as well, mainly within the vocal area, though she has practiced with a few instruments as expected of a princess. Due to the Solarians' connection with nature, Aethise does possess two abilities- being able to manipulate plants, and being able to heal others, with both powers being on a minor scale.
Biography: Being the firstborn daughter of the Solarian King and Queen, there was no doubt that Aerthise would become the next ruler. Therefore, as soon as the child could walk, she immediately underwent a rigorous education that would groom her to be next in line for the throne, as well as her regular princess studies. Though it was a lengthy process, it seemed that the heir to the throne turned out perfectly as expected.
However, there were a few roadblocks within her life, mainly because of her. Considering she was the eldest, she was supposed to set an example for her siblings to follow... unfortunately, she didn't do so very well. Quite often, she would slip away from her classes in order to either relax and meditate in the palace gardens, or to take a peek at what was once the armory. Naturally, she would end up being caught and punished by her father, though it wasn't until her early adolescent years that the King gave Aerthise an incentive to complete her studies and become a proper Solarian princess; she would occasionally be given a few lessons in swordsmanship and archery. Of course, Aerthise complied. Near the end of her adolescent years, she finally progressed into the manners and role expected of her.
It seemed that life was now smooth for the royal family... that is, until the negotiations between the Red Sons and the Solarians. Considering the Solarians held the weakest military force in all of the factions, the King and Queen decided to allow the Red Sons to provide them with all the military protection they needed... but of course, something had to be given in return. As such, a marriage was arranged between Aerthise and the Red Sun Commander.
Upon hearing the news from her father, and questioned on whether she wanted to go through with it, Aerthise was very hesitant, not to mention shocked and fearful. After all, the man she was engaged to was from the very same people who, many years before, had burned their cities, captured their women, stole their resources, and not to mention enslaving a few Solarians. It had been a miracle that the Red Sons decided to leave the Solarians to themselves due to their view of the race as weak pacifists. Now that the Commander was requiring her to marry him in order to seal the agreement between the two factions, Aerthise gave the matter some thought. With her marriage to the Commander, she might be expected to become accustomed to their warmongering ways, heavily contrasting with the peaceful life she had been accustomed to. On the other hand, without the protection of the Red Sons, her people were susceptible to being conquered by other forces, not to mention the possibility of the attackers being the Red Sons themselves if they did not comply to the agreement.
With the consequences of rejecting the proposal looming within her mind, Aerthise finally decided to accept; however, the impending wedding day has not done much in easing the stress on the Solarian princess one single bit. Any offense or wrong move towards the Commander during their marriage could very well risk jeopardizing the tense relations between the two factions, and this was all in light of the fact that her wedding day would be the first time meeting the Commander. Even more, there's been several disagreements of the union from people close to her- most notably from her sister Fernilia and Solarian guard- and close friend- Sky Magnus. Still, there's the small chance that their marriage might work out... and the looming possibility of it falling apart.
