This diary was supposed to be written last night but I fell asleep surfing the marketplace so I'll write it now. Like my subject says, and its about how bad my classmates are in English.
It happened yesterday afternoon around 1130, 7th period. My English teacher came in and found a student missing. He assumed that the student was absent and started teaching Grammar. Halfway through the lesson, the missing student came in and he was shocked. He asked the student where did he go.
The student said:"I poop. s**t!". The teacher thought that the boy was insulting him and asked if he was insulting the teacher. The boy did not understand but just said 'I poop and s**t'. The teacher then explained that 'poop' was a better word rather than 's**t'.
The teacher then asked him if he went to the toilet during the last (as in previous) period. The boy did not understand what the teacher asked and looked at the girl sitting beside him. They had their strange yet funny conversation in this manner:
Girl whispers to Boy: Teacher asked if you went to the toilet to have your period. (In Chinese) Boy: No, I don't got period. (yes, he said 'got') Teacher: What? You were absent last period too? Boy: I don't have period. Teacher (face palm): I'm not talking about the period that women have! You should go see a doctor if you have one, talk to your mother about it.
And that is how bad the students are in English. Although I was laughing happily, I still feel embarrassed to be a student of a private school... I really hope that the students in my school can master the English language... To be honest though, I'm bad in my own mother tongue, Chinese... But only on those Confucius teachings.
Yes we have to study that... So... Yeah. I'll be talking on that on later diaries, so this is the end of my 11/1/2013 (Asia) diary.
