I don't eat enough sugar. D: I drink a lot of caffein and I can handle it, but I have one marshmallow peep and I'm bouncing off the walls. The whole boing-boing-bam! Shibang.
But it reminds me of why I like spring. :D Where the only bugs that are out and about I can handle, like bees, butterflies, and ants. Where my favorite flowers bloom, where the trees turn green again and sometimes even pink and purple. Where I can sit for hours on the large rock out front in the garden with a good book, and watch as all of the cars drive by, choking me with thier smog. And most of all, because of all the sugar-filled candies I get for Easter. whee I can't wait to get a chocolate easter bunny, they're always so good. And they're big, and heavy, and they take me months to finish.
Spring and fall are my two favorite seasons. I think it's because I like the rain, and those are the only seasons where it doesn't smell after a rain, because it rains so often.
Seriously, I hear all these people talking about how they like how it smells before or after a rain, but I think it's a putrid scent. It chokes me and makes my sinuses ache so badly, it causes my lungs to dry out and the hairs on my arm to stand up. But that smell is the dirt and the dried up smog and other particles of partially rotting and decaying plants and animals being lifted into the air. How can someone like it? D: I'd rather smell the cheese that's sitting on my desk. It used to be milk.
But I still love spring and fall. :3 Even though fall means back to school, and spring means placement testing. D:
Which reminds me, the WASL is next week and the week after. Washington (state) Assessment of Student Learning. It's a state-wide test that all 4th, 7th, and 10th graders are required to take. Next year, we'll be required to pass it to go on to the next grade. During this time, the whole school district has standardized testing for the students to take to asses how they've been learning. Only the WASL is absolutely required, though.
I'm in 9th grade, so I don't have to take the WASL this year. But they've started this new thing where 9th grade students don't have tests to take during this time. I'm not sure why, though, I just know that the school has been scrambling to find something for us all to do during the two weeks the rest of the school will be testing. They've ultimately decided that we're going to be practicing the math portion of the 10th grade WASL. For two weeks. All math. Untill lunch. D: Completely disregarding the fact that 9th graders were allowed to take the 10th grade WASL earlier this year. And some actually did. So they don't need to practice for it anymore. At all. Ever. But they will be taking ti anyhow. Because They said. The same They that make school lunches so fatty because it's the only meal some kids get. The same They that won't allow our schools to sell soda anymore because it's unhealthy. They.
D: Anywho, testing will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday. Thursdays are always short days, and Mondays are I don't know the reason. I want to ask my parents if I can just stay home from school during this time, but unfortunately they actually have class on testing days. They ask schools not do, but we do anyways. Because we're slave drivers. :3
