The Sea of the Soul. Its a metaphysical realm that connects all thinking creatures, a place in which all paths of destiny converge. One who can hold their sense of self gains the power to decide their own destiny.
Philemon realized that the loss of his counterpart did not end the game. Nor did the fact that both Nyx and Izanami had been stopped change anything- in fact, he was beginning to fear that it had only made things worse. Nyx was simply a neutral being- and it had already touched down on earth in two ways- that energy, that Ego did not return to the outer reaches with the main presence. Izanami, though sealed by her husband, was still very much in existence- her scattered energies worked beyond his knowledge. The rules associated with his position often made him want to weep with frustration. It was not as if he was a God: he was neither omnipotent, nor omnipresent. Still, his power was a great deal above that of either of the other two incarnations of destruction that had appeared in recent years- as proven by the chosen that had succeeded with the power of Persona. A power he knew would be needed yet again.
The boy had a headache. The sound of flowing water, the smell of the sea, all these made his head pound worse. "Who are you?" asked a voice behind him, sounding slightly amused. "______," the boy responded. "and I am ___, ______, and ________." Philemon looked at the boy quizzically. He knew that the boy had responded, but he couldnt hear the names spoken. Still, the boy had held onto his sense of self, meaning he held the power to choose, as was his right. "I am Philemon, and I look forward to seeing your choices in the days to come." The boy nodded, and seemed to tear and bend in on himself, finally disappearing into the swells of the Sea. Time had no meaning there, so perhaps he had.... No. It did not matter, the game would continue, move by move, until its eventual end- whichever end that was. "Its your move." he said with a slight almost-smile.
