Deryk looked at his new teammates. They were seated around a circular table, all three obviously trying to size up their new companions. The Mitarashi boy was nervous... or he knew something they didnt. He seemed to be calculating how much time it would take to escape...
The girl was apparently sleeping. nothing irregular with with her breathing... bloodflow normal....
Kuro didnt know what to think. Deryk, and Shira. He was screwed, especially if they got Kakashi. These two were both loners... it would be better to get Anko or someone that believed in solitary work... otherwise they were pretty much going to be at each others throats before long. Deryk seemed to be trying to think of how good their skin would be as leather, and Shira was ignoring them both. They were doomed, doomed, doooooooomed.....
Shira was faking sleep. They seemed to be strong enough fighters, both of them. Kuro had a bloodline trait, she didnt know anyone else with eyes like that, and Deryk seemed to be something... more. The boy was covered in sealing wraps for god's sake! Plus, where his skin showed, there were scales here and there! Obviously they were the Freak Squad. Meaning that they were going to get the dirty jobs that got people killed.
The three waited in silence, each wondering who in the hell they had picked for such a... diverse.... team as this one.
Notankonotankonotanko... Kuro prayed in his head. It was her or Ibiki. He knew only those two could possibly deal with the personalities in this group. Kurenai was too young to her Jounin rank for a group of this many problems, and Asuma was definitely going to get the Nara kid... meaning Choji and Ino were with him.
Will they get here already...?! Deryk was getting impatient. He wanted to get stronger, to beat this... body... of his into submission. He hoped for a sensei that could do that. He'd take that retard Might Gai if it would help!
Shira wasnt worried. She, like Kuro, knew it was going to be Ibiki or Anko. Anko due to Kuro's unpredictable abilities and relationship, or Ibiki for his ability to get inside someone's head- thus being able to calm down the berserker-like Deryk.
The door creaked open and revealed...
