Eyris, a world of technology and magic. Gods and mortals roam across its face, breeding occasionally, and causing more problems than solutions. They are a world of emptiness, but the kind with a purpose. Emptiness enjoyed Eyris, it was one of 'his' worlds. and the perfect place to build his champion's eventual helper. He sat in a throne room, one that held seven dais and two thrones, the one in the center that stood high above the others and the one Emptiness sat upon. Eight beings sat before him, the most powerful and knowledgeable beings in this world. four of them were 'gods', beings closer to angels, but made for a different set of rules. the others were of the four greatest families on the planet. Realizing that his powers would still shatter them with a word, even as weakened as he was, he reduced his presence even more than it had been. "I require a female for my champion." he intoned, the force of his words making the four mortals flinch, and the 'gods' cower. "As the movement of time differs on these two planes, you have ten centuries. She must be able to make up for his short comings, but I do not seek perfection- perfection breeds contempt in mortals." The 'gods' nodded at this. They had seen it in their own children. The mortals sheepishly looked to one another, knowing that they were being spoken to as well. A young man was listening above. He seemed to be a child of one of the eight, Empty didnt care which. "H-heh. H-hello milord." the boy said, trying to bow while floating twenty feet in the air. Empty peeked into his mind and saw an interesting Idea. "Speak your thought." The boy was rapidly losing color. "If you dont, I will drop you, leaving your family member to clean up your sad corpse." The boy paled more. He was an interesting find- a mortal, or possible demigod, with an actual brain. "Y-yes, milord... It s-seemed to me that you were in essence asking f-f-for a girl that would hate being in that predicament.... So... I suggest.... raising her yourself, and with... a strong willed female..." the volume rapidly dropped, and the words sped up, but Empty found merit in the plan, unlike the small minded beings he'd invited. But while the idea was good... the boy needed a 'punishment' for his disobedience. "I want this boy to be related to the girl. and the eight of you as well. others, selected by yourselves or my Regent may be added, but by the time ten centuries pass, I want her to be so entangled in your bloods that she will never be in danger from those in power here- is that understood?" Fate was set, and Emptiness was Filled
