He was... floating? where was this place... the last thing he remembered was falling asleep in the realitive safety of the woods, waiting for Terika to return.... "So, you are the one Ive been waiting for... but you arent ready yet...." a familiar voice, like one from a long forgotten memory, said. "You havent met her yet, you havent felt it yet..." "Who... who are you?" Zakerin asked. He could feel something like ice trickle down his spine while he looked at the man. "You need to keep in mind three things when you enter the canyon again Zakerin." the man said. "First is that when you run out of options, the only place left to fly is the sky. Second, That which consumes all emotion, when used with enough power, can become more real than anything else, and third is that Good and evil are sometimes one and the same." "What does that mean?!" "You'll figure it out. You'll see me again soon, just remember this when you wake up." "Wake-?"
Zakerin woke up reaching out for the man and had grabbed Terika's leg. Looking at eachother, she was the first to break the silence. "It could've been worse. At least I didnt have to wake you up." He looked at her confused, not understanding her implication. "What do you mean that 'it could've been worse'?" She sighed. "Never mind, you're too young to understand. I got you a Memorymetal blade." "Memorymetal?" "Its a rare metal that is tough to break, so it was expensive. However, the best part is, if you place two pieces of memorymetal that came from the same item next to eachother, they'll fix themselves." It would be useful. "How long does it take?" "Depends on the damage, but the most is two days." She handed him the blade and helped him strap it to his back. "You're gonna toss me back in that canyon again, arent you... that or leave me here." "Thems the rules kid, I cant help." "Not even explain?" "'Necessity is the Mother of Invention.'" she replied. "'There is no coincidence, only inevitability.'" he grumbled in retaliation. "Then, inevitably, you'll get your answers, wont you. Now get going, you've had your break- actually, wait a second. Put these on." she said, tossing him a new pair of clothes, a black color with red trim. "What are these?" he asked confused. "Your uniform. Its the standard issue, with a few tricks." she said, looking innocent. Zakerin was suspicious, but he couldnt see any enchantment markings, and the canyon blocked magic so... He walked behind a bush and switched out his nearly destroyed clothing with the new garments, and found they fit him well. He pulled on the last three things, a pair of gloves and someting to cover his bandages apparently. Then he went back and stood in front of Terika. "I was worried it might not fit... then I'd have to unlock it." she said, looking around him." "Un... lock it?" "Yeah, you cant take them off, not unless you know the phrase that I put in them. You cant tear or burn them off either, and they'll clean and mend themselves through the enchants on the threads." "But the canyon kills magic doesnt it?!" "Nope, it stops spells, but enchanted equipment still works normally. That's why I took your bag." He had to ask, even if it was rude. "Something tells me that a lock and heal spell isnt the only thing in the clothes." "Nope, there is a weight spell, and a few to restrict your movement." Probably it was for resistance training, to improve him more without having to increase what he did. Terika got ready to leave. "Im going now, I'll know when you've succeeded, and dont let me down." and she disappeared after finishing her sentence. Sighing, Zakerin headed back to the canyon. "She never told me if this thing slays dragons..." he muttered.
