Dear Old, Worn-out, Spider-web-infested diary Journal,
Hmmm, going through old records, I seem to have forgotten that this cyber journal was still alive for about three months now.
To summarize those three months, I celebrated New Year's just within the comforts of my home with thousands (OK, plenty) of fireworks surrounding the area. It was, as any other year, fun and noisy.
For the rest of January, I am afraid it was terribly hectic. First there were exams, then practice, and more practicing. I practically had no time at all (save for the weekends, but those times are oh-so-short to enjoy life to the fullest (i.e. playing computer games, be on gaiaonline, and breathing))
The English exams were OK, I guess. It got me the second spot in the honor rolls for the 3rd grading. The Chinese exams were OK too, because it landed me a spot on third amidst the mixture of first, second, third and fourth year high school students.
I was practicing for two things, actually. One was for our hand dance, and one was for a Math contest.
Our hand dance was a very successful one. It earned comments like "The dance was beautiful," and others similar to it. Few were a negative, though, since our nervousness took over us. But those negative comments didn't stop us from going to another city to perform it! Sigh. It will be (or is) one of the most unforgettable moments in my life.
As for the Math contest... it was a bit chaotic, but in the end, I and my partner garnered second place. I still regretted that day though...
Things seemed to simmer down for a while on this month. Just a little project there, and some here.
And then there were exams again. It was our final exams. I received my test results already and I am absolutely glad that my doubts were not found in any of the exams.
The week after that, well, was sort of boring, at the same time fun. We still had to go to school even though there were no classes and we weren't graduating students. But, the purpose was... acceptable, I guess. And it earned me a good time with my friends.
School Year 2009-2010: An Eventful Year. That's what I feel about this school year. I hope next year would be exciting. biggrin
What happened today, you may ask. It is the final day today. Not only the final day of going to school, but also the final day I'd be here in my home.
It's funny how a joke becomes reality, I told myself just a little while ago. And it's true. We joke about the future, and it is uncertain that it may actually happen.
"We should ship you off to China," my father would joke on the occasion that we didn't speak just a little portion of the Chinese language at home. We would usually shrug it off a moment later.
But tomorrow, it's turning into something real. I and my sister are going on a Chinese Study Tour in China. Xiamen, to be exact. We already packed all of our necessities (including my father's congratulatory gift for me when I and my partner won that second place :9)
I just hope and pray everything will go smoothly during our trip to and from there. biggrin
That's all I want to say before I take my leave. smile So, have a happy summer (it's summer in our place starting today razz )~
