long after i got out of the hospital,
i had a dream. the wolf was leading me
to a spring.
i could tell that humans had been there.
he turned and looked at me.
and through his eyes he told me.
"find me and you go here." he said.
then i woke up gasping.
my leg wound was hurting again.
but i ignored the pain.
i grabed my coat.
and my hunting knife.
i wore my normal hiking outfit i would wear when dad was alive.
i rember the storys he told me.
we where inuits.
inuits of the wolf tribe.
he told me
every inuit decendent of the wolf tribe,
could pass down the gift of wolf talk.
but only few could actully speak or understand it.
but i never belived him.
i sneeked through the door.
our house was near the woods that i found him in.
i ran and ran trying to find the exact spot.
finally i stoped.
i saw him.
he stood strong and proud.
he looked at me his eyes seamed hungry.
then he reconized me.
he sat down looking at me in the eyes.
and through them i could barely make out what he was saying.
"you____very_____now _____keep my end of the_____shall we?"
i instanly filled in the blanks.
"you came! very good, now lets keep my end of the deal, shall we?
i knodded.
and slowly followed the wolf. untill we traveled about a mile.
then he stoped. we where in a dead clearing.
and he stared at me.
i could understand now.
it was all a trick.
i was a stupid fool.
and i ran.
and the wolf followed me.
and easly it grabed my leg,
and dragged me back.
the clearing was full of wolves and wolf pups.
but i saw the hunters again. they where chasing the wolf.
they shot it with one good blow.
and the wolf died.
i slowly reached my hand over to his muzzle.
he gave me one last look. but of sadness.
and i swore i saw regret in his eyes.
and he opened his mouth and howled weakly.
and i understood it.
"it was for my familey! i never wanted to hurt you!" he cryed.
but then i dident belive him.
and now. I DO.
THIS STORY IS TRUE AND IM NOT A PHYCO!!!! IM REALLY AND INUIT GIRL AND WAS RAISED TO KNOW HOW TO SPEAK WOLF. IM NOT ALOUND TO TELL ANYONE HOW BECAUSE ITS AN INUIT SECRET!
