You were previously either a person who lived, were staying or had stumbled into a quiet town out in the near 'middle of nowhere' as they say. This town has a love of science in general and the buildings are oddly fancy ones with a weird feeling like you've gone back in time. The place is very 'old style' with no skyscrapers or anything above about 3/4 stories. The bigger buildings are generally work places or the rare very rich and influential person's place. One of the biggest of these buildings is a very well equip laboratory, a relatively 'communal' one where scientists around the town can come in and work.

This laboratory is where the problem starts however. Some scientists there were working on a transport project and just as they tried it out for the first time (on a piece of fruit for safety.) it instead exploded out it's energy to envelope the whole town, transporting it and it's inhabitants an extreme distance away- and by an extreme distance I mean to another planet! The whole town, including roads and such was 'uprooted' and taken, so what was left behind was a near 'crater' like thing back on Earth, with roads leading into it but obviously coming to a very abrupt end.

This alien planet, fortunately enough for those that were transported, has air quality akin to Earth, though it's definitely not that polluted. Really the air quality may be the first thing noticeable as it's very rare on Earth to breath in such quality air. The sky is near the same colour, being that it has the same gases as Earth but the planet its self is rather drastically different. The plant life and creatures are obviously very very different along with the colour of these things and the colour of the earth, water and just about anything else. It's thought the different coloured waters are caused by weird bacteria and other things, so be wary of the water.

The town is just like back at home, as it was fully transported. Though, the edges are rather rocky cliffs that you'll need to climb down to get down onto the planet's land. The power, which is generated in the city, is down. The maintenance workers were up in arms about it, and after awhile on the new planet they announce that it will be inoperable for quite some time as they fix it. The water however is completely down and unfixable considering the water came from up in the mountains, so the pipes are now cut.

The mayor has been trying as soon as the situation was realised to create a meeting and gather people, so they could figure out what to do. You could attend that, or just ignore it completely. Of course the latter had the consequences of you being rather misinformed about what is happening.

The main question however is- Is there another intelligent sentient race upon this planet? Well, the newcomers will just have to adventure and find out and hope they are friendly.


By the way, the town back on Earth was replaced with a giant orange. Nobody knows why. Not that you needed to know this either.


(Oh and yes, any species is allowed. It was a 'Fantasy' style planet that the town originally came from.)

Please, this was intended to be an adventurous setting. ;o;
If you're not intending to want to adventure out into a new land and instead sit around talking inside the town, this setting probably isn't for you. After all, you can talk whilst adventuring, amazing that, right?
