Race; Living book - To a very large dark arts manual.
His book; A old fashioned leather bound book with old yellowed blank pages filling it up. It's covered in a very dark purple velvet but it shows signs of wear from it's old age. It was written by George Drake under the title 'The Complete Dark Arts manual', which is in a shiny silver writing on the front cover and spine.
Notes; Marif is unusual compared to other living books as he actually has personality and a name. His author, George Drake, commonly did this with the books he wrote. He had many reasons behind doing so, and when talking to Marif about his knowledge and such, it becomes rather evident why as- The book almost seems to create it's own conscious more then just being something that simply answers the questions asked of it's book. His books can actually learn, though they usually feel weird doing so.
Also, he can speak whilst the book is closed, however he cannot get out. The book needs to be open for him to get out of it.
His body can take extreme amount of damage, considering it's actually his book which is his place-holder in the living. If his book is not harmed, he can go with being thoroughly killed with his human 'form' and be completely fine. Closing and opening his book completely regenerates him, but of course this makes it rather obvious that it is the book that is the real target, not him.
If not obvious; He has no blood. Instead it's a weird sticky black substance- Ink.
He cannot harm the reader (Holder) of his book. So if you have the book in hand and he's out, he cannot attack you. However as soon as it is put down, he can.
George Drake
He is a relatively known living book author. George is part paper demon, but he prefers to keep such information to himself- He doesn't see that as being very important. One might say it's partly why he is good with magic and has fantastic literacy.
