Nikki went closer to her so she could put her hand on her shoulder. That’s when Lei jumped back so they couldn’t get close. “Lei why are you like this?”
“It’s not me” she said in a whisper that sounded completely different from the voice they heard earlier. “I’m sorry I’m acting this way” she sounded sincere like she actually meant it.
“How can we help” Volroc cut in as he walked towards her until she was cornered. “There’s got to be a way”
“There is one… but it’s far too dangerous I could never ask you such a thing” she said then looked down to avoid all eye contact. She wasn’t lying this time Nikki and Volroc knew it. “I have a sister” she said after a moment of silence. “Her name is Lunos; she knows how to fix this, that’s where I was trying to go to her but this thing inside kept putting me off course”
“Where is she?” they both said at the same time.
She looked down to the ground again and whispered “all I know is that she’s near this lake that’s green I’m not too sure I was running off of instinct to find her.”
“Ok we will help you find her” Volroc said offering his hand to her. So she reached out hers and took his hand. “There you go” he said smiling. “Now which way do you think this lake is?”
“Follow me” she said as she started walking towards the door and all they could do was follow her till they were at the park again. “Ok I think it’s this way” she said pointing south towards the same spot Nikki had killed that person for yelling at her.
Nikki flinched as they walked by the spot as a single tear fell from her eye. She had been too stubborn to listen to what he was saying she just went in for the kill.
“Nikki snap out of it!” Volroc said noticing her standing in that spot looking at the blood that was still stained on the concrete and wall. “Nikki?” he said as he saw her face. “What’s wrong?” yet no reply from Nikki as she continued to stare at that spot at that exact moment.
What is wrong with me? Nikki thought to herself not paying attention to Volroc as he tried everything to get her attention. Then being knocked to the ground by someone she actually didn’t know who this time, was knocked back into reality.
“what the hell was that for!” she yelled looking at Volroc and lei trying to figure out which one did it. “ok I know one of you did it” she accused. No one answered until they heard rustling coming from the trees.
