Angel girl in the sky,
your feathers are floating by.
Your innocent face so young and sweet
will twist in pain of the fate you meet.
Your wings are torn and dark,
hark, the angels cry
As they say they’re tearful goodbye.
The angel girl so sweet and coy
was spotted by a young boy.
Atop the hill the boy ran,
feet digging into the white sand.
He caught the girl, so light and sweet;
they knew right away they were destined to meet.
God had not sent the angel girl away,
for God had hear the boy pray;
The boy prayed for friendship and love,
so God had sent his guardian angel from above.
The pain the girl felt was in her mind,
God would not hurt anything of any kind.
The lord gave them his blessings as he faded away,
He’d watch over them until the day
the angel girl and her boy come Heaven’s way.
