After a few hours of labor among the three men, forging a sword, sewing maille, and cutting a pair of nifty shoes, Matt, peasant of Jeevas, was ready to be off and save his princess. He looked around, slightly regretting this...
While at Knight Light's tower, Mellina was already chained up. Very poorly at that. Light, laughing maniacally, was signaling that his plot went just as planned. "Oh, save your laughter, dumbass! Soon my prince will be here to save me!" she sniffed. A evil smile crept along his face. "Who will save you, Mellina? The Nobles hate you. The Clergy hate you. The Vassals hate you. And the Serfs hate you. So who will save you? Who? Who? Who?" he asked. "Well...let me think, who's left?"
( Back at the village. ) Near, Mello, and L eagerly pushed Matt to the end of the village, as he resisted. "No. Why me? Why do I have to go into the scary forest and face the dragon and save the princess? I don't even like her anymore!" he chattered. Mello's eyes went wide. "Don't even like her? Man, that's the grooviest lookin' chick I ever saw with them sideburns!" he exclaimed. L twiddled his hand in front of Mello's face to signal his time to shut up. "Cool it, man. Cool it." Near uttered to him. "Matt, don't make waves." the dark-eyed, raven-haired man sighed, as the three started to push him along once more.
After travelling through the forest for a good thirty minutes or so maybe, Matt turned his head, hearing a small voice 'tra-la-la-ing' down the dirt road. Her saw a small white haired...girl, boy? It looked like Near. But anyways. In a red coat and a small dress. Still singing their tune, Matt pecked them on the shoudler. "Hey..hey." he said. "Hmn?" shot the young figure. "What?" "Who are you?" "I'm Little Red Riding Hood, and I'm gonna see my grandmother in the forest!" they chirped. Matt's face turned weary. "Oh, I wouldn't advise that. 'Cause the Wolf's already been to your Grandma's and he's eaten her up and he's waiting to do the same thing to you!" he warned.
"...Sure kid. And the cow jumped over the moon. Tra la la la la la la~." he skipped away. This left Matt a very confused human being.
Back at the village, the three sat there in L's Inn. "Well I guess maybe we shouldn't've sent Matt up there..." L sighed. "Yeah, you may be right. I don't know what we're gonna do now..." yawned Mello, tapping his fingers along the table. "...Let us seek comfort, in our hour of sorrow." smiled Near, as Misa, in a 16th century dress sat happily in his lap.
Back in thr forest, he heard more voices, gasping and stepping out of the path. "Hark! That must be Hansel and Gretel." he said to himself.
As soon as he said such, a boy and girl both in traditional German-looking attire skipped out from the trees and bushes. Hansel, who looked oddly like L, and Gretel, yet another odd...girl, who looked similar of Near, eyes gazed at a sight. A large gingerbread house stood in the distance. "Ah. Look. A Gingerbread house all made out of cookies and candies and things. Do you think we should eat some? I'm hungry!" he said excitedly. Gretel shooke her head. "Oh, I don't think so, Hansel." she pouted. "Why not? Are you afraid a wicked witch is gonna jump out of the forest and turn us into gingerbread men cause we ate her house?" he asked, an excited tone still in his voice. "...No. Not only that, sweets make me break out!" she smiled. "Oh! ...Okay!"
And with that, the two skipped off, along to the house. Matt smiled and watched them slowly skip away. "Aren't they just the sweetest?" he sighed.
Back at the tower, Mellina was struggling against her restraints. "Man! You better get me out of here, or you're in big trouble!" she shrieked. Mikami shook his head angrily. "It's horrible! The screamin', the yellin', the ravin'. I can't take it any more!" he growled. Light sighed. "I know, I know." "So, when are we gonna start torturing her?" ...They then both smirked a nasty smirk, each their own.
Back at the forest, once more, Matt was still on his way to the castle, until yet another disturbance filled the air. A Black-haired man walked up in a blue dress and a apron, and yawned.
"Is something the matter...?" Matt asked after a long silence. "Hi. Plenty's the matter. My name's Goldilocks, and I'm so tired and hungry, and I'm gonna go to that cottage there and get something to eat..." they answered. Mat shook his head. "Oh, hey, you better not do that, cause there's three bears live over there. And if they find out that somebody's sat in their chair, and eaten their porridge, and slept in their beds, they're gonna be very angry!" he said. 'Goldielocks' flipped a hand and smiled. "Ah, don't worry. I'll be alright." "Why do you say that?" He watch the 'girl' shrink back, as 'she' then threateningly grabbed the overcloth of his armor and pulled him close. "'Cause I'm a mean little girl!" she growled.
After a short while, he fianlly arrived at the castle. Confronted by a dragon, which looked oddly like Soichiro. "Roar. Roar. Roar. I'm the Dragon of the Moat. Roar!" he exclaimed. Matt gulped his nervousness down and raised his weapon. "I-I'm not afraid of you. I-I have Magic Sword!" he stuttered. "Oh, put that thing down, I've had enough violence in my life." the 'dragon' sighed. "Oh, for goodness sake."
( Is the dragon of the moat playing tricks, or is he really peaceful? O: Stay tuned to find out. )
