The Amazing Adventures of Yours Truly.
I escaped the wrath of a tornado today. Packed my bags and everything.
After the whole scare, mom ordered pizza. Ironic, isn't it?
I had always pictured a tornado as this perfect funnel of dust, carrying it's usual assortment of cows, barns, and people. But when the tornado sirens went off and I looked out the office window, my imagination flew ahead of me.
In the back of my mind, I could see the picturesque funnel. It slowly dropped down from the dark sky, landing perfectly in the center of our court. The asphalt began to tear and the cars surrounding my neighbors innocent houses began to shake and rumble.
Why did it drop down in the center? I'm pretty sure that's just how the human mind works. Actually, it's like asking why near-death experiences inspire me to write.
I started to read Where the Red Fern Grows, and I'm simply waiting until I start crying. Luckily though, I didn't get to the sad part during class. It would have been embarrassing for me to burst out in tears.
More sometime, A. heart
