"Steven! Steven!! Steven god damned ******** Moore!!!" I screamed down the stairs into the basement.
"Kat, last time I checked, my middle name isnt 'god-damned ********'. Its Anthony." My big brother Steven said, with his annoying flirty smile. I scowled at him and rolled my eyes. I turned, and walked into the living room, where Fahmid, Fariha, and Robert were sitting. Fariha giggled when she saw me, Fahmid stared and Robert whistled.
"Woah, Baby Girl, you look nice." Robbie said, calling my by one of my nicknames. I looked down at my deep blue dress that went down to my ankles, my black high heels, and the blue ribbons winding up both my arms.
"Yeah, Katie-kun! You look sooo pretty!" Fariha said, getting up to hug me. I smiled at her.
"So do you!" I said, looking over her pretty red and gold salwar kameez.
Fahmid didnt say a word.
"Fahmid, you look like you seen a ghost or a monster or something." I snickered.
"Second Lieutenant Mandeville, What the hell?!" He said, still staring at me.
Me and Fahmid are really into video games and millitary, and even have our own military. And since I'm a ripped-jeans-and-over-sized-tee kind of girl, he was surprised.
Me, Fariha, and Robert piled into my car, and Fahmid and Steven took Steven's car. We planned to meet at a nice little restaurant near the airport. I went to corfirm our reservations while the rest of the group went to our table. I went to go join them, as i saw someone I thought I knew. I blinked, and started to turn around to look, when Robert pulled me down into my seat.
Halfway through our dinner, as we were laughing and joking around, a young man came over to us. He smiled at us, but at Fariha in particular. I looked him over, taking in his messy dark hair and dark eyes.
"Hello. Can we help you with something?" Steven's voice startled me as I tried to identify this boy.
"Well, Its just, two of you I think I know." He replied in a deep voice. My mind raced, trying so hard to identify him.
"Which two of us would that be?" Fahmid asked, after swallowing a mouthful of spaghetti. He points to me, then to Fariha. Suddenly, Fariha's and my eyes got really wide.
"Saif?!" We both yelled at the same time.
"The very same." Saif said, in a flirty tone. I gave him a small smile, and glanced over at Fariha. It looked like she didnt know whether to smile, jump up and hug him, or run crying to the bathroom. She ended up giving him a weak smile.
"Hello Saif. Long time, no see..." She said, dropping her head so he couldnt see her face. Steven nudged my arm.
"Is that the same guy that broke up with Aumi a few years ago?" He whispered to me. I nodded, watching Saif's every movement.
We chatted for a little, and found out he had temporarily moved here. And that he lived close to us. He whispered something in Fariha's ear that made her blush as we were leaving.
The second we got into my car, I smiled at Fariha.
"So, what he say?!" I asked, excited. Since the guys decided to take Steven's car, we were alone to have girl talk.
"He said, 'I miss you my angel'." She replied, blushing. I squealed and hugged her.
"He also said he wants to come see me tomorrow..." She smiled and squealed with me this time. I pulled into the driveway after the guys. Fahmid scowled at me.
"Well, you two look happy." He said smugly, walking into the house. Fariha and I stuck our tongues out at him and laughed.
"Katie-kun, do I look okay?" Fariha asked, walking into the living room early the next morning. She was wearing the same thing she had worn last night, but in a baby blue and sliver.
"Honey, you look fabulous!" I said with a smile. Steven nodded in agreement, then looked at me.
"I thought you didnt like this guy any more Aumi... And Kat, are you going to greet him in your pyjamas?" He asked, picking at my black sweats and ratty old tee.
"I-I thought I didnt like him... I dont like him like that...but..." Fariha stammered, blushing, as I slapped Steven's head for dissing my pjs. I got up and left to room, after whispering in Fariha's ear, "Knock 'em dead, tiger". She laughed and i ran upstairs. After a few minutes of rummaging around in my closet, I heard the doorbell ring. I swore, and pulled on my best black skinny jeans and blood red top. I ran downstairs, and almost smacked into Steven and Saif.
"Good morning Katie." Saif said, holding back a laugh.
"Morning." I replied, and walked into the living room. I sat next to Fahmid on the floor and started fighting over the game controller as Saif sat down next to Aumi.
"They're a laugh, eh?" He said, nudging Fariha with his arm, as he watched me and Fahmid roll around on the ground and wrestle. Fariha nodded and smiled. I looked up and could instantly tell what Aumi was thinking. 'Oh my god, this is uncomfortable.'
An hour later, Me and Steven had to go for groceries and Fahmid had to go to work. I didnt feel comfortable leaving Aumi and Saif alone, but I had no choice.
"Aumi, you know where I keep my extra guns and ammo... and my swords were just sharpened. Okay? If he trys to hurt you..." I started to say before I was cut off by her.
"Katie, I'll be fine. Saif and me are cool. " She said, giving me a hug and a smile. I stared into her dark eyes for a minute, then smiled back.
"We'll be home soon. Bye Aumi. ...Saif." I said to them, giving Aumi a wave, and nodding at Saif. He nods back, and me and Steven go to the car.
"I dont like leaving those two alone..." I said, my tone worried. Steven leaned over and kissed my cheek.
"Dont worry sis. Aumi can take care of herself. And besides, you have more guns than the army." He said, smiling at his joke. I smiled back and pulled out of the driveway.
