She didn't want to hurt him, but she had fallen for another guy. He was still special to her, though. She wanted to let him know that he was still special to her.

He decided that she was worth it, but he wanted to move on. To forget about her, so he went out with another girl. But he still thought about her on their anniversary.

She called him every once in a while and he just felt that it was right. He wanted her back but he didn't want to hurt his current girlfriend, so he did nothing about it.

after a while she stopped calling all together and he felt a pang in his heart. He wanted to be her number one but he knew that he had lost her. He began to message her first saying hi to check in on her. She had not yet gotten a new boy. He wondered why. She was an amazing girl. Later he found out that she still loved him even after he had hurt her so much.

He was happy, but he wanted her to be happy. So he told her that he loved her too, but he had a girl so she had to move on. She smiled into the phone and said...

"I'm happy that you are happy."

That was the last time he talked to her. Six years later he got a message from her. He had gotten married and he was happy.

"Congratulations"

He smiled at the message but he realized that it wasn't her account messaging him it was her friend's. Something was wrong. He asked what was wrong.

"She's gone."

"What????"

"She's not here anymore... She's dead. She died in a car accident."

He stared at the screen.

"When?"

"Hmmmm.... About a week ago. Last week on Monday... I'm pretty sure..."

The day after he had gotten married. What had he done?

"It's not you're fault."

he found out a drunk driver had killed her.

She was in the hospital... She was not going to live, the doctors knew it. So she told her friend to tell him that she was already dead. What they said was true... she was going to die because of a drunk driver... but it wasn't someone else....

It was her....
