Trapped Like Carrots
My eyes finally open after who knows how long to find a bright light shining in my face. I squint my eyes at the sudden brightness. After my eyes had focused, I looked around to see myself in a small room with metal walls. It had no windows and only one door which was also made of very thick metal. I looked to my right and saw something dangling from the metal wall. I didn't recognize it at first. I looked harder. It's Delila! "Delila!! DELILA!! Are you alright?! DELILA!!!" I yelled desperately. I saw her slowly lift her head. I could see cuts and bruises all over her face. She had probably been beaten. "Kimiko, your awake. Thank goodness. I'm glad you're ok." she gave a weak smile. "Don't worry Delila, I'll get you down from there." I struggled, attempting to get myself up. I looked at my arms and legs in question why I couldn't move. I was chained to a steel table. "What the..?! What the heck is this?! What's going on?!" I said.
The sound of the metal door slamming shut. I looked over. It's that army guy!!! He signaled to someone on the other side of the door and they spun a wheel. I heard the clanking sound of the gears turning. We're locked in. "You creep!! You said you'd leave Delila out of this!!!" I screamed at him as I struggled with my binds. He gave an evil smile. "Hey, I lie. It's what I do to get the job done around here. Somebody has to clean the demonic scum like you off the streets." I growled and barked at him, snarling and snapping with anger. "As for your friend, we couldn't just let her go around telling everyone about our capturing you. You see, the people like it when they think their safe from every little thing. Even if it's safe and they don't know it. So your friend will be staying within our little facility here, locked up like you." I could see he was getting a kick out of this. "Here's how it's gonna go around here. We're going to run lots of tests. And they're painful, I assure you. If you do not comply and you struggle and go against our will, there will be consequences. I am a collector of sorts. I have several other demons here in this building. But we want to hit the jackpot. The legendary family itself. Until that time, we study the different features of full demons to determine what we need." he slowly paced around the table as he spoke. "Well I'd hate to brake it to ya, but I'm a half demon!" I said. His smile grew bigger. "Even better." he replied. "It's extremely hard to find half demons now a days. As far as we know, only a handfull of half demons, including yourself, exist in the world today. You're the first of our rare collection to be captured. And we have reason to believe you have been in contact with some of the other half demons as well. So you will tell us that information as well."
He grabbed my jaw with a firm grip. I tried to shake my head away, but it was impossible while I was chained down. "Such a fine specimen. I can't wait to see what others of your kind will look like...what powers they will have." he let go. "I don't know what you're talking about!" I shouted after I tried snapping at his fingers as he let go of my head. "We know that one of your friends on the other side of the well is a half demon. That is part of the reason why we need to get through. We have a special tracking machine that tracks the aura of demons. We have seen your friend's aura come through multiple times before. So I'm thinking to plan an ambush. We also have found traces of a demon or two living inside the city. There are some differences, but there auras are almost identical. So it might be the same demon. Now tell us Kimiko, where are they and how can we get to them?" He walked over to the wall by my left, his back to me. They know about Inuyasha?! And who are the other half demons? "I'll never talk you monster!!!" I yelled in response. "Well then, I said there would be consequences if you did not comply to our demands, so I guess we must deal out some punishment." He said in a mono tone.
He pressed his finger to the wall, apparently pushing a button of some sort. After pressing the button, searing pain in several spots on my body. I screamed in pain. I lifted my head to see large steel spikes piercing my upper arms, and the middle of my chest and thighs. I could see the fresh blood slowly dripping down from the tip of the spike wear it had pierced my body. They stood at least five inches out of my body and were about three inches thick. I screamed again. Delila cried out in terror. "KIMIKO!!!!!!!" I could feel a little bit of warm blood gurgling up my throat and into my mouth. It dripped out of the left side of my mouth as I gasped, feeling like I was going into shock it was so painful. "And until you tell us want we want to hear, we will leave those in you. Oh, and you're going to be here for a long time. So let's make the proper introductions. I know who both of you are. I am General McCarber, and you are here in my secret vicinity on the unknown bottom floor of The Pentagon." he leaned in close to my face. His expression turned grim and serious. "No one can hear you scream down here. So try all you want, you can't get out. And I will get the information I want. Whether you give it voluntarily or we take it by force, we will get that information, even if we have to sacrifice your friends, family, even you in the process." And with that he signaled again to the man outside the door. He turned the big wheel and the metal door swung open. General McCarber stepped out and the the door shut and locked again, leaving Delila and I alone with our wounds.
