Tuesday night Nanny was at the house as usual and then went home for the night.. Not ten minutes later after she went home she called the house telling Mom to go over there quickly.. She had a nose bleed.. Very bad nose bleed.. Now Nanny has never had any major cases of nose bleeds... In fact, she hardly ever has them. After a little bit they were able to slow it down enough to get her situated and bring her over to the house... I called Mrs. Brigman and got some info. on how to help stop the nose bleed other than what we were already doing... Worked on her nose a little bit and finally we got it to a complete stop. Waited the required limit and it was still stopped so after a few more minutes she went to lay down and not three minutes later she sat up and it just started gushing out of her nose and it went down her throat a bit.. Called 911 and did the necessary procedure to Nanny as Mom got ready for when the ambulance came.. After the ambulance got her set up and took her to the hospital Mom followed it. I had to call Ray at work and tell him that if he could he needed to come home and relayed any other messages Mom had told me to tell him. He was able to get out and of course since I was highly upset I called Mrs. Thurman and talked to her for a little bit and cried.. Got off the phone and collected myself a bit until Aunt Donna called and she talked to me for a bit and I ended up crying a bit more.. When I got off the phone I just curled up on the couch with a stuffed animal (its been ages since I've had to hug something while laying down) and cried until I dozed off. Woke up when Ray got home and after dozing off I went back to sleep again... Woke up to Mom calling from the hospital telling us that they were running some blood tests on Nanny and that she'd call when they were allowed to go home... Went to bed and slept until 6 o'clock that morning.. The hospital people told her that she would need to see her primary doctor and get a reference to a nose specialist... During the day Wednesday Nanny stayed quiet and relaxed.. Didn't do too much.. She came over once that evening (not quite sure now what the reason was) and she went back to her house.. Then around 7 o'clock Nanny called and during that time I was on the cell phone with Sarah and when I answered the phone with the caller id with Nanny's number on it I knew that it had stated again.. I answered and she sounded a bit panicked and I said, "Nanny, you bleeding again?" ....replied, "Yeah." ... "I'm getting Mom now." Got off the phone with her and with Sarah.. Yelled for Mom, told her it was bleeding again, and mom rushed over to Nanny's house again... Stopped it enough to get her stuff and bring it over to the house to watch over her.... Stopped it and it held up all that night.. When Ray came home from work the next morning Nanny's nose started up again... Ray woke me up at 6:10 by my clock, but it was really on 6 o'clock.. It was bleeding pretty good and I told them straight out I wasn't going to school.. There was no way I was going to leave Nanny and go to school.. Leave her for her to go to the doctors with just Ray.. No way, just ain't happening.. We stopped the bleeding to barely a drizzle so I helped Nanny go over to her house to clean up a bit and get dressed. When she was all set I ran back over to the house and put in my contacts and some slight last minute things and ran back over and we went to the doctor (Mom had already had plans to drive bus for Bethany's field trip and would have called and told them that she couldn't do it if it hadn't been such a last minute thing). Doctor packed it and gave us a reference and appointment set up for 11:30 at Lugoff, S.C. with a Nose specialist that we just made in time for. Got there and they treated it.. Told that it had gotten dry and cracked in there and when that happened the vessel bleeds. After the treatment he packed it he gave us instructions with what to do every day.. What she shouldn't do, etc.. Had an appointment set up for Monday morning in Hartsville.. Doctor told us that if there was a case where it might happen to bleed that she should be sent to the Hartsville hospital. So after she was taken care of we took her home (I drove and Nan & Ray slept the entire way home). Got her home and she was so drowsy that she could barely walk.. Also she was bit sick to her stomach.. Got her settled on the couch and she rested. I had thought about going to school for the last hour and go to Academic Bowl practice, but I had a feeling I shouldn't go.. So I stayed home and kept an eye on her and Ray had gone to bed. At three o'clock after I had gotten out of the bathroom Nanny was sitting up on the couch and blood just started gushing.. It was going down her throat and threatening to choke her so I made sure that she kept her head bent down and had plenty of towels, woke Ray up, and after I knew for sure that there was no way we could take her I called the ambulance (blood didn't start threatening to choke her until a few minutes after it started). Mom and Bethany made it home two minutes before the ambulance got here and after I explained everything to them, gave them the paper work, and told them she had to go to Hartsville's hospital they took her and Mom and I gathered the stuff Nanny would need and what we needed and took off as well while Ray stayed home with Bethany.. Beth had started to run a little temp. and had a headache so it was safer to have her home and get some medication in her to knock the bug out cold. Anyways, after a while they got her blood pressure, got her sedated a bit to relax her, and contacted the nose specialist.. After a long while the nose specialist came and he took out the pack in her left nostril and placed alonger one in and had it blow up.. Got a clot huge clot out of the back of her throat... They were afraid for a little while that they would have to admit her into the hospital for the night, but the thing about that was that the nose specialist doctors in that area were all going to be gone at the same time this weekend so if something happened they wouldn't be there.. After the doctor was done though he said that she should be able to go home and he gave us a list in case something did happen that we would have a reference as to which doctor she should go to.. So around 8-8:30 that night we were able to leave and take her home..Set her up and what not and she has been okay since.. She is expected to have a bit of drainage but other than that thats it.. She still has the appointment for Monday to have the packing taken out and have them take a look at it. Went to school today and took some tests.. Wasn't really there though.. More out of it.. All of us are so tired... We feel like zombies but the thought is whatever needs to be done will be done and Nanny will be taken care of and there will be nothing for her to worry about. We're doing everything possible.. I cried a bit this morning at the Thurman's house.. Its just everything has happened so fast and when I finally had to think about it to answer a question I just couldn't hold it in... Anyways, lasted throughout the school day and Nanny was fine when I got home-thank you lord! Unfortunately though my blazer is broken down again.. So if it isn't one thing its another and I'm most thankful that it is the blazer and not Nanny. As for the condition of the blazer and how fast it shall be fixed: I will more then likely be driving Mom's blazer this entire upcoming week. Fun Fun. Well I need to make sure Nanny takes her antibiotic at 11:30... And now that this has been somewhat updated to the new events this is all I shall put. Oh btw: informal recital Tuesday at 7 o'clock. I must sing a solo and a duet.
