Today is the day after my friend's birthday. On December first, another friend and I said that we would write something for her. I chose to fulfill the obligation. For her. Always for her.

Happy birthday Casey. I'm sorry it's a bit late, I had wanted to tell you in person. But, to be honest I'm not entirely certain where you are right now. Everyone got together an planned an amazing party for you, but of course you didn't show up. I didn't go, I didn't want to be there if you weren't going to be there as well. I know you think you made the right choice leaving, and I can't and won't say that you were wrong because I don't know why you would leave in the first place. But I will say that we all miss you, and we wish you were here. I know I do.

I was once told that home was where you were the happiest, it didn't matter if who was there were your actual family. I wish you were home, where you belong. I haven't seen you in a long time, and I'm not sure if I'll ever get to see you again. I heard that it's nice where you are, always bright an sunny. And that there's lots of music as well. I've never seen it before, but I hope it's half as incredible as everyone says. Somewhere that amazing is where you deserve to be. I didn't get a chance to tell you goodbye before you left, I wish that I'd had a chance to.

I tried to visit you yesterday, but I wasn't able to. I wish you were here for me to tell you all this in person but somehow I'm sure you'll hear about it. You always were a social butterfly. We all miss you, I'm sure you miss us too but I also hope that you're happy where you are. It really is a great place, and I've heard the only really great people get to be there. It's part of the reason I'm sure that's where you are.

It'll be nice if you're happy there, your happiness always was one of the best things in the world. Hopefully I'll get to see you again, and then I'll tell you all of this face to face. It may seem a bit selfish, with you being as happy as you hopefully are, but I wish you were still here, still home where you belong.
