A Fluffy Spy?
"You've gotta be kidding me! This is like the third time we've stopped today!" Inuyasha yelled, irritated. I had to admit, having this many people with us who all had different metabolisms was a major inconvenience. Everybody wanted to stop at different times, and Shippo being the smallest, he complained the most about wanting to stop to rest. He plopped himself on the ground and lay back. Inuyasha had leaped up into a tree a was digging his claws into the tree to relieve his anger. I was pretty restless, so I started pacing back and forth, and soon stopped. "Ugh!, I'm getting stir crazy here! I'm going to wander around for a while. I'll be back later." I said, and I waved to them and took off running into the trees.
I ran until I reached a shallow pond. Thirsty from running, I cupped my hands together and dipped them into the water. I pulled the water to my lips and drank deeply. After slurping the last few drops from my palms, I wiped my mouth on my sleeve. I turned back around and was about to head back, when something caught the corner of my eye. Amongst the green and browns of the forest, I saw a glimpse of white hiding behind a tree. I strained my eyes for a better look, and saw a face, but before I could get a clear view, the figure whipped around and walked off deeper into the depths of the trees. "Was that person spying on me?" I wondered to myself. "And who was that anyway?" I decided to go after this mysterious person. I don't have to go back just yet anyway, I can catch up with the others. So I ran off deeper into the woods after the person.
"Great, I lost him." I said to myself annoyed. I had only gone maybe a minute into the woods, but this person was apparently fast and swift. I looked around, but no mystery person in sight. I continued to walk when I came to a clearing. I looked up at the blue sky as I walked further into the clearing, when suddenly I bumped into something. I fell backward. "Wow. I should really watch where I'm going." I said out loud to myself. "Yes, indeed you should." A voice replied. Surprised something had responded to me, I looked up. There stood a man. I could tell from his scent that he was a demon. A full demon at that. He wore white robes with a yellow sash around the waste. The sleeves on his top were red at the bottom of them. He wore a chest plate over his top and a piece of armor around one of his shoulders that had large spikes on it. His other shoulder had a large fluffy thing that looked like a giant piece of cotton that hung down to his legs. Weird markings were on his face. Two red stripes were on each cheek and a purple crescent moon was in the middle of his forehead. His forearm had the same red stripes on it as his face. I noticed he was missing his left arm. The armless sleeve fluttered carelessly in the breeze along with the long, pure white hair on his head.
"It's been a while now, hasn't it Kimiko?" the man said to me. I kick flipped to my feet and stood in a defensive position. "Who are you?!" I demanded. "And how do you know my name?!" He continued to stare at me. "You don't remember me? Hm. Such a pity." He said. His voice never wavered and whenever he spoke, there was no emotion in his voice. It sounded like he was a drone or something. "You're still not answering my questions. Tell me now! Who are you?!" I shouted. "My name is Sesshomaru." the demon replied. "I see you've meet that half breed mutt, Inuyasha, already." I blinked. "You know him?" I asked suspiciously. "Unfortunate to say, that
nuisance is my brother." I thought about this for a while. "Inuyasha has a brother? How come he never told me?" I wondered to myself. "Now if you'll excuse me Kimiko, I must be going." He said in his emotionless voice, and he turned and began to walk away. "Hey, wait! I'm not finished with you!" I yelled, and I began to run after him, but in the blink of an eye Sesshomaru disappeared. I stood there dazed at his disappearing at. "Looks like I need to have a talk with Inuyasha." I thought to myself, and I turned back and began running back to the others outside of the woods.
I breached the edge of the forest and leaped into the grassy field on the outside. I saw the others sitting a few yards away. They all turned when they saw me suddenly bursting out from the green. I went over to them and sat down, panting from my run. I grabbed a bottled water from Delila's bag and chugged it down. "Kimiko, where have you been? And how long have you been running? You look exhausted!" Sango stated. Finally regaining a regular flow of breathing, I said "Where's Inuyasha?" she pointed up to where he still sat on a limb, scratching at the tree. I leaped up onto the limb at sat beside him. "Inuaysha, we need to talk." I said sternly. " He looked at me. "What do you want?" he said irritated. Hearing a shuffling below us, I looked down. The group was all gathered at the trunk of the tree, trying to extend their ears to hear our conversation. "Do you guys mind?!" I yelled at them, annoyed. Noticing they had been caught, they ran back to where they had sat. "Anyway," I continued to Inuyasha. "Who is Sesshomaru? He says your his brother." Inuyasha stared at me blankly. "You saw Sesshomaru? What is he doing here?!" he said, sounding really ticked off. "I don't know. It was like he was spying on me or something. I saw him hiding behind a tree." I replied. "But the weird part is, he says I've met him before, even though I've never seen him before in my life." Inuyasha sat there, contemplating on what I'd said. "Weird. But I'm positive we'll see him again. Soon enough. The next time we see him, I'm gonna have a few questions for him myself." he said. And we bot leaped down from the tree as we all started back off down the road again.
