“Steven! Where are yoooou?!” Katlynn yelled up the stairs. The response was a sleepy grunt and a soft thud. Katlynn smiled and climbed up the stairs. When she got to the top of the stairs, she went into the bedroom and saw Steven standing, half asleep, in front of the bed.
“Not a morning person, are we?” Katlynn laughed. Steven looked up at her, moaned, and then fell backwards onto the bed. Katlynn sighed and left the room. A few minutes later, Crystin, Aumi, and Katlynn all snuck into the room.
“Ready?” Whispered Katlynn, “One…Two…THREE!” They all pulled Steven off the bed and dragged him into the hallway.
“Hey! Guys! Stop it!” Steven yelled laughing as they all jumped on him.
“Morning, sleepy head!” Crystin said. They all laughed and got up off of Steven, then helped him up.
“You didn’t tell me Aumi was coming over!” Steven said, smiling.
“Actually, we did tell you. Last night. Before you went to sleep.” Katlynn said, punching him playfully.
“Is breakfast ready yet, Katie-kun?” Aumi asked.
“Sure is!” Katlynn smiled. She ran to the stairs and slid down the railing. The rest of them followed her into the kitchen, where plates of pancakes were waiting for them.
“Ohhh!! YAY!!” Crystin yelled. Steven looked at the table then looked up at Katlynn.
“There are only three plates…” He said.
“I ate earlier. I got up at about six.” Katlynn said, walking into the living room. As they all ate, they heard video game noises. Steven looked up and listened. He thought for a moment, then he gasped.
“KATLYNN! YOU’VE GOT HALO 3?!” He yelled, running into the living room. Crystin and Aumi laughed, and followed him. Katlynn smiled and handed over the controller to Steven. He smiled, hugged Katlynn, and then started playing.
“He’s gonna be there all day.” Katlynn smiled.
“You would have been too!” Crystin laughed. Katlynn stuck her tongue out at her.
“Hey, Steven, we’re gonna show Aumi around. We’ll be back later, okay?” Crystin said.
“Hm? Oh, yeah, sure. See ya!” He replied, smiling and hugging each of the girls.

About an hour later, the girls came back. When they got home, Steven was still playing Halo. Crystin thought of something.
“When he pauses the game, then lets tackle him!” she whispered to Katlynn and Aumi. They nodded, smiled, and waited. A few minutes later, Steven pauses the game and stands up to stretch. The girls run and tackle him to the floor.
“Ah! I’m being attacked by cute girls!” Steven said. They all laughed and got up.
“To bad I cant stay longer.” Aumi said.
“Yeah, I wish I could stay longer too.” Crystin agreed.
“Huh?” Steven asked, confused.
“Aumi and Crystin are leaving tonight. Aumi needs to get back so she can go on a family trip and Crystin has to go home and see her mum. She has been here almost 3 weeks you know.” Katlynn said, sitting down on the couch.
“Aww…” Steven frowned.
“Don’t worry Steven, We’ll come back!” Aumi said. Steven smiled a bit.
“I know. Its just, things wont be the same around here without you guys.” He hugged Crystin and Aumi.
“Don’t worry! You’ll still have to put up with me for another month!” Katlynn said with a smile. Everyone laughed.
Everyone spent the next few hours helping Aumi and Crystin pack. They took a taxi to the airport. While the girls said tearful goodbyes, Steven sat down and watched them. Just as they started to leave, Steven got up and Hugged Crystin and Aumi.
“We’ll miss you!” Katlynn said, giving them one last hug each.
On the way home, Steven barely said anything.
“Its not gonna be the same without them, huh?” Katlynn said, breaking the silence.
“Yeah,” Steven said with a sigh, “No more being pulled out of bed, no more being tackled.” He laughed a little.
“Hey, I’m still here! And they’ll be back.” Katlynn said, smiling.
“I know.” Steven smiled back and stepped into the house.

The next morning, Steven got up out of bed and looked at the clock. Katlynn should have gotten me up by now, he thought. He wanders downstairs and looks around. Katlynn isn’t anywhere to be seen.
“Kat? Are you home? Kat!?” He yelled. No answer. He went back up stairs and looked in the bedrooms. That’s when he noticed something in his room. It was Katlynn, curled up with a picture of Aumi, Crystin, Steven and Herself. Steven smiled.
“Revenge.” He whispered, walking over to Katlynn. He pulled her out of the bed and started tickling her. They both laughed, and then went downstairs to enjoy the day. Later, he found a card on his dresser. He opened it and read it. Its said, ‘I Love My Crazy, Goofy, Wacky, Mentally Challenged Best Friends!’ and it had Aumi’s, Crystin’s and Katlynn’s Signature on the bottom and a picture of the whole group hugging. Steven smiled and put the picture by his clock.
