Ack! Don't look at that last journal entry. I misspelt Kumoricon. D: People around me just keep pronouncing it wrong, and it influenced my spelling. [/excuse]
Well, the con was so much fun I can hardly move from being so tired and worn. I'm glad I brought my friend, Fox, along with me. She's alot more social than I am, and without her I would've ended up in the corner of everything.
The first day was pretty good. 3nodding Went to a Pocky Club meeting thing were we made a friend named Panda. It's amazing how many people know him. O_o Spent about an hour talking about the club and Pocky, and even danced for some free Pocky. 8D To finish it all off, we made a conga line and wandered through the 'con a bit, picking up random straglers with our chantings of 'Pocky.'
Greg Dean had a panel, and I went to see it. They gave him the largest room they had, and very dew people showed up, so it was lonely in there. >_> It was still fun, though. Asked what kind of tree he would be if he were a tree, and he said Douglas Fir. then he found out it was the Oregon state tree and decided on a Cypress. Woo.
While I was waiting for Fox to show up at the panel for me, she got pulled into some thing by Panda and became and Evil Plot Device. xD They gave her pins!
We spent alot of time in the Dealer's Room. We bought some crap. =3
Ran into Dean and got him and his wife to sign my Chocobo plushie, during which he whined about how he wanted one himself, and leter we saw him buying a Chocobo plushie. > 3>
To finish the day off, we went to a Hypnosis show. He pulled Greg Dean up there without knowing who he was, and that was pretty cool. xD Got him to shout that his name was Mecha Otaku in a little girl's voice. Slept pretty well that night.
Day two, nothing was happening. At least, nothing organized by the 'con untill the dance at 9:30 that night. We spent alot of time in the dealer's Room buying crap and in the Gamers room kicking virtual crap. It looked like things were going to be pretty crappy.
Then Fox and I made a sign, one side saying 'Will Dance For Pocky 8B' the other saying 'Give Me Hugs! ^ _~.' I think that side was a terrible idea. > _> We went down to a hallway, only to find about two dozen other epople had signs, most of them asking for hugs. We rebelled and stood on the oposite side of the hall. We were told we can't ask for things in our signs, and were forced to only ask for hugs. ; _; So I took blurry pictures of almost everyone that hugged fox. that was one of the most fun things that happened that day. We found Panda in the mass of people holding a sign saying 'Will Yaoi For Fangirls.' So Fox become one. Hilarity ensued as someone decided to show him what a 'real' kiss is like. xD I got hugged twice, and both times I shrieked, screamed, and kicked while people kinda went 'Woah.' we started cheering for rtandom things. 'Cheer if you like food!' 'Woo!' 'Cheer if you like Pocky!' 'Woo!!' 'Cheer for no reason!' 'WOO!' untill we were warned that we were going to be kicked out of the hallway if we didn't turn it down a notch. So we went out with a bang and made a conga line. We went all over the place. =D Our conga line got kicked out of the Dealer's room, though. And I think we ended up being kicked out of the park.
Did more crap.
We went to the dollar store to pick up some stuff for the dance that night. We already had alot of glowy wristband things, so we ended up wtih a coupla feather dusters and some ribbons. *shrug* They were cheap.
The dance was fantastic. I dunno why, but I put my hair up in high pigtails and tied the ribbons around that. we put on our glowy and went. We danced a bit, and even joined another conga line, right up untill the Yatta Song started playing. x3 We just so happened to be right infront of the two Yatta Guys, who were noticable by their shirtlessness, wonky hair, room number on their backs, and 'Yatta' written across their front. It was great. People would keep coming up to Fox and I to find out where we got our glowy. We tld them the dolar store, but also offered to sell it to them a dollar a stick. >_> We made five bucks. Fox and I just kinda danced for a bit untill we found this girl in a beautiful EGL dress that was looking kind of shy and bored in the back next to the water. We managed to persuade her into dancing. You know what? She was really good. =D And I think she had a good time. Fox also found this one guy dressed as a martial artist that was looking kinda bored, Andrew I think his name was, and got him to dance with us. I dragged him around with us for pretty much all of the dance, and I think he had a good time. He didn't complain. xD We left at ten 'till midnight, which is when we would have been kicked out anyhow.
Woke up this morning with achey knees from dancing the night before and packed. Bought some crap for cheap since everything was priced to be gone. Ran into Andrew from the night before, he didn't recognize us. xP Just as well. By the time we were on the road I was completely sore and achey, and I still am. gonk
Woah, that turned out pretty long. O_o I'll upload some pictures as soon as I find the driver for my camera.
School starts tomorrow. Double gonk.
