I hate my fourth grade teacher. Years have passed since I was in her class, but I haven't forgotten anything. "I don't want to discipline you" my butt.

Efficiency through self-sufficiency -Sideways
Reviewers/comenters:
Greengangster: Oh, I've got plans for that fox, so don't forget about it.
Final Cry: KenoDemonic delt with you accordingly, so we'll forget you exist, shall we?
KenoDemonic: I probably will, but it's hard. They're my characters!

"What's good for fevers?"
"Borage."
"Sore throat?"
"Honey."
"Rat bites?"
"Burdock root."
"Stomache ache?"
"Juniper berries."
Ariya smiled as Hana answered every one of her questions. Ever since she had volunteered to help Ariya carry her supplies, the young she-cat had grown more and more curious about the healing properties of herbs she was carrying, and asked more and more questions.
Ariya was even considering asking Hana to be her apprentice. One medicine cat in a clowder was neccecary, though it never hurt to have two.
Hana purred. She'd always been inquisitive, and eager to learn. Now that Ariya was teaching her things she'd always been at least a little curious about, she could almost forget that the clowder's future was uncertain.
Merra sat on a rock overlooking her clowder. Just before leaving the black path, they had seen machines like the ones that Yuzaak, Nekan, Senni, and Koryo had seen. Signs that the humans also lived nearby.
Time was working against them. Winter was well on its way, and it was looking like they were going to cross mountains.
"Zairess, help me," the grey and white she-cat murmured.
Zairess was the godmother, earthly queen. She had created the world, and was mother to all its creatures except humans. No creature was sure were they had come from. She and her mate, Zar, leader of the sky and waters ruled the world.
When a she-cat felt frightened, she would ask Zairess to help her. A tom would call to Zar.
Merra padded down from the rock, and looked around again. The queens were gossipping outside the nursery. Ariya and Hana were going over herbs Kaymi and Sokrin were grooming, while sharing a squirrel. Whatever happened to these cats would be her fault, and she would be ready to take responsability.
Kaymi gave Sokrin's ear another lick. Through the terrible tradgedy in which she had lost her brother, and he had lost his best friend, she had grown close to the orange warrior. More than friends? No. She was just his friend...Just his friend. A shriek from one of the queens intantly snapped every cat into reality. As they glanced at the nursery they caught a glimpse of reddish fur inside.
Oh, Zar/Zairess.
