Well, for some reason, I'm really into prophecies and fortune tellers right now. I'm not crazy about it, but just curious! Apparently, the Mayan Calender supposedly ends in the year 2012 on December 21........ The mayan calender is based on a 5112 year cycle, and that is coming to an end soon. So people believe that the end of humanity is going to happen in the year 2012. Some theories are WW3 happens due to the middle east crisis, another is extreme environmental change, and the other is (snickers) aliens will attack? yeah, right. Oh, and the weird disappearance of the honey bees. Supposedly, Albert Einsteins said that if the bees disappeared, than humanity would die out 4 years later. Is it a coincidence that the bees disappeared in 2008, and 4 years from now, it'll be 2012? If the bees are MISSING (not dead), then 80-90% of flowers and plants don't get pollinated, animals die, then humans die. However, I don't believe this will happen, though if it does, humanity will be going through some major changes, such as our diet, clothing, and our attitudes about earth. Another theory is the polar switch happens in the year 2012, marking the period of extreme weather that will undergo on Earth, for 11 years, though it will take a few years to build up the extreme storms. lovely right? However, the key concept most people seem to miss, is the Mayans themselves. They called the end (2012) the beginning of the GOLDEN ERA. They never said anything about an apocalypse, though other well prophets have! I believe that the year 2012 will be a major turning point for us, and we will be the generation that will rise up to meet it. Whether good or bad happens in 2012, we'll be their to witness it! or, this could be a complete fake, flop of a prophecy like we saw about 2000, though i never believed that one! theirs so much more to say on this topic.
