This is what I get for picking music just because the name is cool.
Just a note: 'Clowder' is a term for a group of cats.
Nekan raced through the forest, hot in pursuit of his prey. It gained speed, but so did he. Finally, he leapt, a rabbit died, and a clowder of cats was supplied with more food. Nekan purred. Save Scaide, he was the only cat in the clowder that could run down rabbits.
Taking its body in his mouth, he padded back to the rest of the hunting party. Koryo nodded in approval, but the silver tabby hardly cared. This wasn't time for compliments. The clowder had to be fed, and defended. That was what Nekan lived for.
"Alright," growled Koryo. "Kaymi and I will go north, Sokrin and Scaide go west, Nekan, head east. When you've each caught at least two prey, go back to camp."
The four younger warriors nodded, and they all slipped off through the woods.
Nekan padded through the undergrowth, his ears pricked for the sounds of little animals searching for food. Before he noticed it, he had reached the road.
Then, he noticed something. A place where twoleg machines had ripped the ground. In the ground, he noticed something. Tree-trunks, more wood, stone, and something shiny.
As he prowled closer, he noticed the humans. Several grown males were climbing on the unfinished structure, while a queen played with a small human kit. An adolescent was sitting on a rock, looking bored.
Suddenly, the adolescent began walking towards Nekan. Most other cats would've bolted, but the cool-headed tabby didn't move. As the twoleg got closer, he began backing away. The human froze. This time, Nekan didn't. He slowly stepped back. The human suddenly broke into a run.
Nekan wheeled, and did the same. At first, he could hear the large creature crashing through the forest, after the hearing the human queen shouting, the pursuit stopped.
Nekan sat panting, until he caught his breath, and went back to hunting. The clowder must be fed.
