The Old Life, Chapter 12
When I awoke, I was in a cell. In the cell there was a bed, sink, and a toliet. I ripped off a piece of the bedding and wrote on it with my blood. On it I wrote, "Even if you could don't come to get me. You know I'll be fine. Saga." With my transformation jutsu I turned the piece of bedding into a cat and told it to go find Kisame. It meowed at me and left. For the next 30 minutes, I was in there waiting for something. Leaning on the cell bars, the door down the hall opened. Three men walked up to my cell and opened it. "The Kazekage wants to see you." I hissed at that name quietly but I think they heard me. I followed them just to be good. When inside the room, the Kazekage looked different from the last time I saw him. "It's good to see you again,...Saga." The people around us were alittle surprised and started to whisper to see that their Kazekage knew me. " I don't have time to go over what you did but let's see. You and two others from the Akatsuki gave poision to one of my men. However it back fired and you got caught." He was thinking of my punishment for a while. " You'll be sent to a home and cared for until other thoughts come to me." "But Kazekage that's not good enough!" "Do you have a better idea Baki?" He didn't reply.
When I got to the house it reminded me of Lendalas. I missed her so much. The door opened to the face of a woman. She smiled at me motherly. I looked at Baki then at the woman not knowing what to do, then walked in. The woman was tall and had long straight black hair with yellow strips. She looked like Lendala also. "How are you feeling so far today Baki?" "Just fine Mafuca." "And who might this be?" she said looking at me. "She's one of the Akatsuki." "Are you kidding me? Not by choice right?" "That's what she says anyway. Also, from records when she lived here, your sister took care of her. I'm a right" "Lendala?" she tought for a second, "Oh yes, the girl was named Saga."
(Mafuca's POV)
"Are you sure you're going to be ok with her?" "She's not a monster Baki. However there are ones in her." "What are you talking about?" "Oh nothing. Run along now, besides don't you have a mission to go to." With that Baki was gone. When Mafuca closed the door and turned around I wasn't there. I wasn't in the kitchen since it was right across from her so she went up stairs. Mafuca knoked on the bathroom door. There was no answer. She went into the guest room and found everything in the right place. Except for my Akatsuki coat that was laying half way on the bed. Picking it up she held it up and placed it on the bed. the only room left was hers.
(My POV)
I was in her room looking at a photo of her and Lenda. They had to be five years old in the picture and twins. "We look alike, don't we?" I noded. Mafuca came over and sat on her bed with me. "It's not your fault you know." "Who said it was my fault. Gaaras' father just has trust issues." She was talking about Lenda's death. "I know."
That night I cried. All the memories of Lenda came out. She was so nice to me. The next day we took a walk. I wasn't wearing my akatsuki coat. Only my lay back clothes from Orochimaru. We continued until we got to the graveyard. The land was flat with mounds the size of a laying body. Before we got there, Mafuca took me to a flower shop (they probably don't but too bad). She bought two blue tulips and I got purple ones. We were going to place them on her grave. "A wonderful sister and mother." That was what was writen on her grave. Mafuca placed her flowers down onto her mound then I did the same. We both prayed to her and left. When we did she told me that she was told that her sister was in the house when it was burning but got out to late. And that I got away with her help. However she didn't believe that's how her sister died.
That day went by fast and soon came tomorrow. Mafuca told me that I was going to school. I asked her what I needed school for while she was putting together my lunch. "So you can be a true ninja." That was her reply. I told her that I was already a ninja but in return she said that I was a memeber of the Akatsuki not a ninja. We said no more after that.
This place called school was not bad. Some kids said, "hi", to me but that's it. While eating my lunch I watched a girl who was crying. I walked over to her, and tapped her on the shoulder. Her face was stained with tears and her eyes were red when she looked at me. "What happened," I asked her while chewing on a rice ball filled with tuna and wrapped in dry seaweed. "Those boys took my lunch," she pointed over to the four boys in the corner desk gulping down her food. I swallowed the rest of the rice ball and pulled out another. Tapping her again I handed her it and sat down. "Are you sure?" "Yah besides I got four more," I said chewing on another," Well now three." She smiled and bit into the ball of rice happy again. I poured the green tea into the huge lid and gave it to her and some chips. "Thanks. I'm Boda by the way." "I'm Saga." She nodded and took another rice ball. The boys that she pointed to were looking over at us in disgust. Narrowing my eyes at them, they came over. "Looks like we have another customer, "said one of the boys. "Back off. She hasn't done anything to you." "She's making me hungry." Another went to take the rest of my or our lunch, but I smacked his hand away grolwing. "Ooooo bad kitty." They all put themselves at a stance to fight. "You'll never win," I told them. "We'll seee!" They all charged at me with fists. I sighed, whispering to myslf, "Foolishness." I then performed my weakest jutsu but to them it was powerful, "Shadow claw." Their own shadows came up from the floor and started stratching them. They all groaned in pain as the instructer came in. I walked over to Boda, I gave her another rice ball and took my cantin of green tea leaving the lid. Walking up to the door way the instructer wanted to know what happened. "Foolishness," was what I said.
