The Old Life, Chapter 22
The Chunin Exams. What does it mean? Just another way to say that you have to work your a** off to get your rank changed. Nothing more. As our sensi went to let the Kazekage know that our team was going to the Chunin Exams as we waited outside. Boda was talking none stop to Grimu telling him about all the new defence jutsus she made.
10 minutes later, Gaara's team came out of the Kazekages room. Baki, their sensi wasn't with them as they leaned on the wall across from us. I couldn't keep my eyes off Gaara. My mind, asking him if he remembers me. Sensing my eyes on him he looked at me with his cold clear eyes. We kept our eyes in lock, talking with them. 'Do you still not remember me?' He did not respond, only his eyes flickered from my thought reaching him. ' You must remember me Gaara. You may not need me but...but I need you.' He only looked at me unmoving. But then his whole body tensed up as his left eye twiched turning a yellow orange color.' He only needs death which you can not give, but I do need you.' I couldn't recongnize that voice; it wasn't Gaara's voice. The voice snickered as Vocami came out letting us know to com in. Before that Baki came out glaring at us mostly at me.
As our team went in, the blinds that would cover the Kazekage were up. "This is your team?" "Hai." "State you names." "Grimu Hon, specialist in healing." "Boda Boomga, specialist at causing a bang." "Saga Saland, specialist in defense and attacking." He stared at us not saying anything then said, "If I had heard about this team our invasion plan would've been more easier." "What plan?" Vocami asked, "I wasn't told about this." "That's becasue I don't trust you," he expressed the word, you, very clear, "Your team is accepted to go to the Chumim exams but do not interfere with the invasion."
After comfirming with him we packed our bags to set off for Konoha. Before leaving Mafuca told us that she'd be at the tower, where ever that was.
(Fast forward) By the time we got to Konoha we had only 5 hours to change and refresh ourselves. I hadn't seen Gaara and his team since we got here. But I guess that's for the best. When we were done we went to a ramen bar, three hours before the Exams. As we waited I looked over the people walking around. They were happy living as nothing were going to happen. Poor people, I kind of feel bad for them. However something tells me that they'll surive it. The man who made out meals was nice and made small talk with Vocami saying how our team was different from the other sand village team.
Anyway by the time we finished and payed for the meals, and got to the exam room, the exams were starting. I payed no attention to the guy with scarf on his head as he explained some stuff. The room was filled with creeps. Which were mostly the guys and some girls. The kids in the back made alot of noise before that guy came out. There was on who was extra loud, almost louder than the boy with blond spiky hair and orange jump suit. She had long brown hair that she placed in a pony tail. Wearing a green top with her clan symbol on the back. It was a sun. With a green skirt and matching green tight shorts under it and having eyes light blue. Annoying was the word I gave her. Hopefully that changes.
The person next to her was small, like a little boy. The top of his hair wa slicked up to create spikes. He wore a shirt with the sleeves ripped off and his clan sign on the back (check out Marishi's profile and I think his signaure is his sign, it's not the fox but the triangle things). I didn't get time to look the other one over. The guy who was talking stopped and everyone was following him into the next room.
Our first exam was a test. It wasn't just a test with answers that everyone was supposed to know. It was a test that you had to get answers from others. Anyway I had number sixty-eight and sat in the middle of two grass village ninja's. Getting off topic, the room was really cold. I'd sniffle every minute to stop my snot from dripping out. I payed attention this time since the man with the scarf was giving out rules. By the time he finished I had started my jutsu. 'Shedding thoughts.' I shivered releasing strands of hair that were an inch long. They are hard to see unless you have the eyes of a cat or dog. Which I don't think anyone has except the leaf ninja boy who has the dog on his head. Anyway each one of those strands were connected by a chakra string that no one can see. My ear twiches, my brain telling me that all of the strands have nested and are sending back answers that thier host has. Soon every answer was answered and the two ninja next to me were gone. "So cold", I said. When it's really cold I get sleepy, so I took a nap. "Saga.." Someone then slap my head, "Hey Saga, wake up." I groaned stif from the cold and the way I slept. "I'm up, " I stated getting out of my seat and strecthing. I asked Boda if it was over and it was. But she told me that I had to go see Anko for the next part of the exams. Sighing I went to go see anko.
