Part 1: Prologue
I awoke from under the trees in the middle of the night, wondering where I was. I stood and brushed off the dirt, searching myself in the process. Finding that I had the tail and ears of a wolf, I grinned; as if I already knew this information. To study myself, I explored for a mirror and to my dismay, found none. Happening upon a river under the moonlight, I found that my face was ‘furry’ in which sense I had a goatee and an under shaving that lead to my sideburns. My hair, being a unkempt, dirt brown, flowed to the square of my back in a pony tail. Skinny yet tan, I was taut like the animal I represented; a sleek yet strong timber wolf.
Well rested I decided to move on, slowly but surely making my way back to the castle which I abandoned so long ago. Within the five years of my leave, my dear father gave up the throne giving way for my sister to become queen. Of course to be queen, a woman has to have a king... this is the reason I decided to return, to make sure this man was suited for my sister and to clarify his disposition upon which he married her...
(sneak peak... Part 3)
Her husband, just walking out in his night gown asked “My darling, will you return to bed with me?”
“I cannot sleep.” Was her reply as she held her demure gaze at the gigantic creature. Did it just move she wondered tensely.
