Rant IV-The non-canon side of the Wolfstar Shipping. |

As I surfed through the HP boards on this forum I noticed that when it comes to topics involving either Remus and Sirius, most people on that thread are Wolfstar shippers. While I have no problem with people shipping it, I'm not keen on the pairing and it bothers me when people say it's canon. It makes a nice fanon slash ship as it does have more evidence than all the other HP fanon slash pairings added together (since Albus/Gellert is canon), but the shippers are ignoring the facts and evidences against Wolfstar.
Continue shipping Wolfstar for all you want. But just keep in mind that unless J.K. Rowling confirms it in an interview, it cannot be canon.
First of all, close friendships are not a sign of being "together". This I speak from personal experience. Take myself for example: I am close friends with a guy from my school and we pretty much do everything together, but we are not in a relationship other than being good friends. However, his other friends think otherwise and keeps on asking us how long have we been "going out." It really bothers both of us. Last school year there was another guy that my friends thought I was going out with, simply because we talked in Earth Science and are friends.
Just to show that what you think may not be the truth. I'm still a Sirius-sexual (otherwise I just might be Hetero bordering Asexual razz ) . And I have been since I've read PoA. So boyfriends? Go figure. *shotforSiriusphilia*
Now on to canon evidence. I hope you have all read the 7th book by now as some of the evidences I have comes from DH. Be prepared for spoilers if you have not read DH.
Sirius, I take, is a person that's pretty much open about just about everything. He doesn't hide things, like in OoTP when he objected Molly's refusal to let Harry know what's going on, He doesn't disguise his emotions, as seen in the chapters of OoTP where he does become a little emo, or the one where he openly shouted at Snape. So if he was gay, he wouldn't hide it.
Just because Sirius has prettier hair than you fangirls doesn't make him gay. That just means that he has better hair genes than you. Live with it. (I just had to insert that in there as a joke. Like Sirius would've done.)
That would make the posters on his wall hot guys in swimming trunks instead of bikini girls. And if he did that to bother his parents, being in such uptight and conservative Pureblood family, I'm sure that posters of guys in their son's room would bother them even more than poster of girls. That'd make him straight. Or at least bi.
On to Remus now. First of all, as much as people don't like it, RemusxTonks is canon. They have a friggin' kid for Merlin's sake. Many of the Wolfstar shippers say that Remus regretted it. The reason that he did so is because he is a werewolf and werewolves, no matter benign or malign, are shunned from society. Marrying a werewolf does the same. Remus was worried about the outcome of his child as he does not want to pass the Werewolf genetics on to Teddy, but was relieved when Teddy did not have the lycanthropy problem. That showed that he cared about Teddy. Even Remus didn't love Tonks in the HBP scene where Tonks confessed to him, they were shown holding hands at Dumbledore's funeral, something that lovers do. Tonks was 13 years younger than Remus according to my calculations, which justifies in Remus saying that he was too old for her, and she should find someone better than him. Which also showed that he cared for her well being.
I'll add more later. And I'll answer all the arguments against this rant if you have any.
And Teddy was hot, gosh darnit. But that doesn't do anything.
On another note, I stole Sirius's body from the Veil. Not a group of fangirls, just me. XD
