Stop this nonsense! Purchase anime and manga to keep anime alive! And stop downloading anime and manga!
To clarify a little about this, yesterday evening I went to an anime club, the same one that I go to twice every month and I found out something most critical to all who enjoy anime and/or manga: since the majority of the population merely downloads or watches anime freely by renting it from one’s local library, Blockbuster, and on a free video website, the companies that create anime aren’t getting enough profit from the anime and manga they sell, which within two year will lead to the demise of anime altogether, putting anyone who creates anime for a living out of the job, and most likely for good, and this is all due to people who illegally watch anime without paying for it. There is absolutely little to no excuse for why people illegally download anime and manga, in the long run everyone gains some sort of income, allowance, job(s), self owned businesses, or just plain out selling stuff, anyway you put it a very low percent of anime lovers can actually say that they cannot, with out a doubt, purchase their own anime and/or manga, so what excuse does that leave the rest of us who has enough spare change to buy anime/manga, it leaves us nothing, nothing to hide behind when anime ceases to exist, it is that majority who CHOOSE to download anime for free—it is that majorities fault. And for those who simply don’t want to buy their own anime, because they don’t care, or they don’t feel like ‘wasting’ their cash on anime, you aren’t wasting it, you’re saving anime from extinction, and you can very well get fair to all most nothing prices for anime and manga. I mean you could talk to the owner of your local comic book store at ask him/her if they’d give you a discount if you bought a certain amount of anime and manga every month. If you buy anime in mass quantities it’s better then buying anime in small quantities and pay more for it, because if you by anything in mass numbers you get more of a discount because to encourage one to buy a lot of something stores, in general, will give you a larger discount as the quantity of the items you’re purchasing increases, in blunt terms stores want to keep your business and make a lot of money at the same time so they give you a fair percent off your total if you buy fifteen DVDs compared to one. And even if the anime or manga series you are looking for at your local comic book store isn’t on the shelves, ask someone that works there if they can order it for you, it’s free to order it and pretty much any comic book store will order it for you! And there are plenty of other sources to purchase anime and manga from: bookstores, anime stores, online stores, directly from companies, conventions, and there are surely other means of purchasing anime and manga, you just have to make use of it. You’re probably reading this thinking I’m a load of bull and you’re still probably going to keep downloading anime because you don’t see the point in buy in, because after all one person won’t make a difference, right? You’re probably right with your thinking, but I’m not going to say that one person will make a difference because if I we you I’d hate hearing that. Yet if a single person does actually stop downloading anime and manga I know that people will listen, and what I have to say will and can get through to people, and if other people send this to there friends, tell their friends about this, or even post this in one’s journal(s) as well, then maybe the majority of the anime loving popular can change, and stop downloading, and if even one person reading this hears my plea and information another person, then it won’t just be one person attempting to make a difference is will be mass quantities of people who are helping, who want and intend to keep anime and manga alive, who intend to help the anime companies—to help but an and to this death sentence to anime series.
Please, at this rate anime only has less then two years left before it crumble beneath finger tips and the only thing you need to do is to stop downloading anime, to help, please help—I am, why can’t you?
